Trailer - TV Spot

I am not sure, does this interest anyone? Or should the chain just be put to sleep? Or would that create an infinite dreamscape for Freddy? /boggle

I'm interested, because that is a really well done trailer, but I'm afraid that it might be yet another of this new generation of horror movies that seemed to start with Saw, where it wasn't about actually being scary, but rather how many grotesquely disturbing ways they could come up with to kill the characters.

But then, Michael Bay seems to be more into thrills than gore, so he just might do it justice. It looks like maybe he's looking to play the story straight and eliminate the cheerful camp that eventually crept its way into the franchise. Which could be a good thing, or it could just take all the fun out of it.

They should have put that series in it's grave about five movies ago.

Well, to be fair, it's not a continuation of the franchise, but a remake of the original, which isn't quite the same thing.

Moreover, I'm HOPEFUL that it won't become the campy sequel-fest most popular horror movies degenerate into because it seems like this group of remakes of classic horror films have been mostly 1-shot deals. Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween and Friday the 13th have all been remade in the last six or seven years, and so far as I know, no sequels have come from the remakes yet.

Knowing Michael Bay, the movie will probably end with Freddy exploding into a huge ball of fire when he is defeated.

I think that he writers in Hollywood need to **** off with the movie remakes and come up with some new ideas.

This doesn't interest me even a little bit.

Isn't there another Halloween coming out (or is already out)?

I didn't care for this movie. My son was 14 months when it came out so I took him to the drive-in 30 minutes early so he'd fall asleep before the movie even started. Sitting the car watching the movie I thought would make it a little bit more frightening. I was wrong. I left very disappointed.
