Well, that was a waste of time.

Thankfully I got free tickets for it, it would have been a serious waste of money too.

Storywise, the original is better and more fun to follow. Visually, some good effects but the 3D did not work well, some scenes even looked pretty bad.

The guy who introduced the movie said that the director was already thinking of parts two and three. It had a good opening weekend, unfortunately it might just happen.

This was a huge disillusion, but the Kraken didn't look all that bad.

Probability of a sequel = film expense / film merit.

The acting sucked, it was a pretty mediocre action movie for me.

Imagine trying to cram a Mastiff (for those of you who don't know, it's a really really big freakin dog) into a hand carry pet carrier....only way it's gonna happen is if you stick in the blender... and then all you end up with is a bloody mess, and a pet carrier that can't even hold the weight and it falls apart when you pick it up anyway. Thats exactly what this movie was.....Tried to fit too much information into too small a time space and the action, actors (or lack thereof) and effects just can't hold it together.

Worst movie experience ever.....I left going "wtf just happened?"

Sorry...it sounded better in my head than it did in the forum.

Let me put it more like this:
You can't make a shake or icy or whatever without taking the good stuff like the fruit or the ice cream and sticking it in a blender. Thing is when you try putting ALL of your favorite ingredients into the blender, including ones that really don't belong there, it just tastes bad. The people who made this movie tried to put too much stuff into the blender, good ingredients maybe, but it still ended up tasting horrible.

No worries, I know. I like analogies, but like I said some of them make sense to me in my head and sound....less than sensible. But I'm also not exactly known as normal in my family....my mind goes weird places at weird times, and I don't have an inner monologue.

Debatable, but I wouldn't know the answer to that question.
