Peter Parker has been cast. The Percy Harvin kid will be starring as high school aged Peter, with 500 Days of Summer director Marc Webb @ the helm.

I am not optimistic.

Wow, you've got an awesome writing style.! I really dig the narrator's back story, humor, sarcasm, and the plethora of pop culture references. Altogether a refreshingly different RotR journal (not that I don't like the more traditional ones, mind you).

A twilight dude didn't get the lead, so there's that at least.

Whenever I try to read something on perezhilton it makes me want to smash a laptop into his face.

Also, no Sam Raimi? No Bruce Campbell? ****, Spider-Man is one of my favorite heroes of all time and I can't even build up any enthusiasm to see this.

It's Marvel's fault for selling the rights to Sony. Sony did pretty well with the first 3, say what you will about 3: It made a lot of money, I guess they're looking to capitalize on a "new"-er Spidey demographic?

I wouldn't mind an Ultimate style reboot, & given that Bendis is psuedo consulting (or consulted once) & the director's like of USM, it could happen.

And while Spidey has one of the best rouges galleries in comics, I just don't see them doing USM without Norman Osbourne/Green Goblin. And given that's been done all ready, I don't really know what to expect.
