So, Mirai Nikki was supposedly updated yesterday, but it turned out to be a very short "special chapter" with one small scene from before the events of the manga even began. WTF? Just give me the damn next chapter already Smiley: motz

And only four pages at that. The harpoon was entertaining at least.

When reading, I thought it was interesting that his diary only predicted that he destroyed hers, not that she would die. I don't get why she has a 2nd diary though...

Tying into the conjecture from before, if she is actually the winner of the last game, who came back to the parallel world, then I would imagine that she killed her parallel self and took her diary as well. So the diary that was destroyed belonged to the current world's Yuno (who was already murdered). Hence, original Yuno has both her and her counterpart's diary. Maybe?

I don't recall diaries disappearing when the holder dies, but I don't feel like going back and seeing if that happens or not, haha.

Yea, it occurs to me that typically the diary itself is destroyed in order to kill the user. Whether the opposite happens we don't know. Interesting theory, definitely possible.

There's a pilot airing this fall so a full anime adaption is quite possible.

For sure. Wonder if the next chapter is the last? Guessing not. I feel like even after summing things up with Yuno, there's still Mura-Mura. And then the conclusion. I'm guessing 55?

I'd bet they could get 60 out of it. Who knows what's going to happen with Mura-Mura?

BOOBS!

Surprised Onemanga allowed it to be shown, as they block mature content now.

Again, another step closer to the end. I want to know what the heck is going on, but I could have done without the nudity.

Yuno was awkwardly drawn in a few scenes, such as the lumber chop. It was just weird, but I can understand the intent.

I think Yuno's motives are fairly clear now. She's been continually leaping back in time (or at least once) to spend more time with Yuki, especially to relive the last day. She honestly would let Yuki kill her to become god himself, but since he won't she thinks she is preserving him by killing him to start everything over, because otherwise he would die with her. It's a little messy way to wrap things up, but I like that it preserves Yuno's total devotion to Yuki.

Al's spoiler explained it pretty darn well, it makes a lot more sense looking at it that way. You know, as much sense as you can make from thinking like a crazy person.

They've moved it to 1000manga.com.

And, yeah, Allegory pretty much said what I was thinking. It's sort of sad, how they're both bound in this loop. But I think Yukki has the right idea, sort of.

I also wondered if Yuno could go back in time and kill herself so Yukki would be the only one left.

Well she's definitely already done that once already, she killed the original Yuno of this world. Now why she doesn't just kill herself forcing Yuki to become god doesn't make too much sense, but I'm willing to chalk that into the "Are you questioning the logic of a crazy person?" territory.

True. And I'm wondering why we think she should have to go back in time to kill herself, anyway... She can do that just fine without going back in time. Smiley: laugh

I guess I wasn't clear. She goes back in time entirely so that she can spend more time with Yuki and so that he can in some way survive. She doesn't go back in time to kill herself, she kills her former self out of convenience, because if two Yunos were discovered then people would figure out her intentions much faster.
