So, after watching the last episode of Fringe, it appears they jumped back into the main story line after much filler.

One thing I had been bouncing around with previously in the series:

William Bell and Walter Bishop being alternate universe versions of the same person. And this idea was further reinforced in the latest episode. Walter found a pair of old glasses in his paper work. Putting them on and looking into the back of a metal pan for a mirror, he looked remarkably similar to William Bell. I know they had done this on purpose, they had to have.

The only thing I can't place is Peter. Walter stole Peter from the alternate universe. This means that he kidnapped him from the alternate version of Walter/Walter's wife. That would mean that William Bell (alternate-Walter) is Peter's father. So how could Walter and William be such good friends if Walter did steal his son?

Regardless, there is a much larger connection between William and Walter than just coworkers

The next episodes will be interesting. Taking a look at the past. Maybe they'll have more answers.

I didn't get the impression they are the same person, only because they both worked together (or I assume they have) for a long time. They worked together when Walter wanted to open the door (wither Bell knew 100% why) and it was then Bell who went all slice and dice on Walter's brain (to keep the info secret). Bell skipped sides to stay "safe" away from Walter.

I say this because

Because of Peter. Unless both (Bell and Walter) look the same to Peter, the show has given evidence that there is 1 person of exact looks in each Universe. Dunham has seen both, and I never picked up that she saw them as the same person.

But then I can see your point on them being the same. Where is alternate Walter/Bell. Did they kill each other's selves, or did they not exists (due to different choices) in one Universe. I think Peter (and the Watchers) with be playing a bigger role here soon. I wonder if Peter will learn about himself or not, and if so what will be the outcome :3

Next episode isn't til April 1st?
