Comic Book Collector Help :: World of Warcraft

Ok so I have an early 30's urge to do the one thing I absolutely loved growing up as a kid which is collecting comic books. Now that I have my own income and some discretionary income at times I want to begin collecting bronze, silver, and golden age comics as well as CGC collectibles. Now, anyone have any idea of where and how I should start? I have a few childhood favorites and I was thinking of starting wit a few runs of those. Is Ebay a good place to start? Craigsist? Any help would be appreciated.
