I know I'm not the only one who watches this show here. Tonight (Monday) it was "new" on a special night, with it returning to it's normal Thursday (this Thursday) night.
Charlie (was Dunham's partner) was in it!?!?! I thought he was killed, bodysnatched and killed again. Did I miss something?

Nope, he's dead. I'm assuming this episode was meant to air before his death (or the body snatcher's). I highly doubt it's going to be explained one way or the other, though, which doesn't sit well with fringe continuing much longer. I doubt Lost had any of it's episodes aired out of order.
Either that or it took place in an alternate reality.

This episode was an unaired episode from season 1. An "unearthed" episode. (The name of the episode). So it does not fit into the current timeline.
Just a special airing, probably wanted to come back after the hiatus with a "bang" (of laughable confusion). Until people realized what the episode was.
I did think it seemed to fit somewhere in Season 1, since if I recall, Charlie got switched out in episode 1 of Season 2.
