I blame Left 4 Dead.
I've seen:
28 Days Later
28 Weeks Later
Quarantine
Shaun of the Dead
Dawn of the Dead (2004 version)

I need recommendations for good modern zombie movies what has fast zombies.
Not those slow lumbering boring zombies.

The Resident Evil movies any good? VG Movies tend to either suck really bad or suck so bad that they're awesome.

I meant to see Zombieland when it was in theaters, but I never got around to it. I plan to pick it up when it hit's Blueray/DVD/whatever. In b4 obvious jokes about Abigail Breslin.

They are better than Quarantine.

Zombieland has Bill Murray, so its automatically awesome. See it as soon as possible.

Dead Alive is great as well. It gave birth to zombie lawnmower kills. And horny ninja priest. And zombie baby. And zombie smoothies.

Oh, then there is Zombie Strippers. Return Of series is pretty good; At least the first few.

Zombies. They're awesome.

The first one sucked, because it was all about a secret mansion. Boooooring. The second one was better because it was a zombie outbreak in a city, which I think is fun. The third one was pretty meh. The new CGI movie was mediocre, but if you ever played RE2/RE4, you'll really enjoy the characters in it.

Also, if you've played the games, you'll hate the first and third movies, as they butcher the story. The second movie is somewhat close to RE3, and I thought it was the best of the movies thus far.

Avoid the Day of the Dead remake, completely horrible. You should check out Versus though, the reason why in one word: zombie-martial-artist-gangsters.

Also check out the "Return of the Living Dead" series parts 1-3, slow moving zombies but very entertaining. Skip Necropolis and Rave to the Grave, they sucked. Also, also watch the "Evil Dead" Trilogy.

Rec.

Like 28 Days Later, they're not "true" zombies. However, like 28 Days Later, it's one of the coolest Zombie flicks you will ever see.

There's a sequel, but I haven't seen it.

Dead Alive is a classic directed by Peter Jackson & a must see.

They aren't zombies, just humans who disintegrate slowly from space radiation exposure.

They are zombies. Most zombies are of human origin. It was also originally named "Teenage Mutant Horror Comet Zombies."

From what I've seen, it's just about a scene by scene remake. Same storyline.

Zombieland was probably the best movie to come out of 2009. I strongly recommend it.

Yes, Zombieland was amazing. High on the humor but still a good zombie flick.

uuuugh so much I could say about Zombies. <3 them.

Imo, there are 2 types of zombie movies. Could Happens and What The *****

I like them both, but seem to get a better joy out of the WTFs. They usually have the gnarly deaths (both Zombie killing, and Zombies killing).
Return of the Living Dead series fits into this category as each one gets a little weirder and odder.

Make sure you watch Dawn of the Dead (1978 one) it is a classic.

I've seen a good amount of this list.

Watch the entire Romero series in order.

Night of the living dead.
Dawn of the dead.
Day of the dead.
Land of the dead.
Diary of the dead.
Then Night of the living dead 1990.

Braindead. It is awesome.

The Descent. Not zombies per se, but close enough.

The rest on my list you already watched. Like others said, Zombieland is great. Funny but not stupid.

None of my recommendations meet your criteria but they are all awesome in their own way:

Fido
The Walking Dead Currently on book #6 so around issue ~33. Can't really tell you how the rest pans out as they're still being released and they're up to #66+ now. Written by the same guy that does Battle Pope.
Marvel ZombiesIt's Marvel + zombies, what's not to like? Same guy that did The Walking Dead I believe the combined comics from 1 and 2 but not Dead Days and 3. 3 is sitting in my backpack waiting for me to read at work.
World War Z Best zombie book I've read. Supposedly an in production movie also although details are scarce (part of the script was leaked a year ago which included the scene from the Indian coast (I think) ship wrecking yard which was absolute pandemonium).

Close enough?

That's like saying mummies are close enough for someone wanting to watch a movie about Frankenstein's monster.

The Walking Dead is in development @ AMC (Mad Men)as a series. I have very high hopes.

This^ and Marvel Zombies Vs. The Army of Darkness. I think this picture summarizes my feeling on this masterpiece of modern literature.

I have yet to read ...Army of Darkness but I heard it was perfectly awful (and I don't mean awful as in hilarious or good). I'll check it out eventually anyway but really, I heard it was terrible.

Darkest Nights is good too, it is the DC (green lantern & other color corps') + Zombie series.
