It's called Daybreakers, and from the looks of the trailer, it has some real potential. The basic premise is that most of the people in the world have been turned into vampires, and the few remaining humans are farmed for blood. You can go into a store and buy a pint just like you would pick up a snack at a convenience store. The problem is that there aren't enough humans left to sustain the vampire population, so they start to look around for alternatives.

The first half of the trailer looks very promising, then the second half is the standard action movie montage. I'm hoping the movie will turn out to be like the first half.

I saw the trailer for this last night for the first time. I honestly thought it was a red cross commercial (until the bit about if you see a human, call the authorities).

Edit:
I can't find the trailer I saw last night.

Its just like The Matrix, except with vampires. And actors that can act.

I thought this was going to be about Let the Right One In, which was superb.

I have that one on my Netflix instant queue, but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

This is why you shouldn't evade your taxes; if you do you get sent to jail, and your alter-ego is no longer around to prevent stuff like this from happening.

Talking about Wesley Snipes if you haven't figured it out yet. You know he's still going to jail despite the appeal.

Interesting... looks like it might have potential. And, it has Willem Dafoe... can't be too bad...

(I hope...)

BTW, can anyone identify the song playing at the end of the trailer? It's relatively new, and I can't place the artist...

It's honestly more of a tween love story than a "vampire" movie, but it's cute with a pretty good story. And while some of the vampire parts are kind of "traditional", it's got enough of a twist on them to keep them fresh & interesting.

Placebo - Running up that hill (or something like that). It's a cover song.

Catchy song.
The beat sounds like a heartbeat with lyrics about switching places with God, and it's used in a Vampire movie about choosing Immortality or Humanity. Seems to fit well.
