Look at it, just look at it! Asuka with a badass eye patch!
Listen to it! Asuka with her cute screams when she gets scorched in the shoulder! (yeah it totally downplays the excruciating agony)

I'm pretty sure that by the end of the series everyone is going to be wearing an eyepatch.

That's about the length of time in between the release of 2.0/2.22 and the trailer for Q which is just now showing in theaters.

To follow up on this, this link just showed up on my facebook feed and tracks the real-time conversion of 3.0 to English.

Looks like the release date in the US is January 2013.

Also, I was completely confused when I saw my "It's Geno, oh baby!" comment dated November 16th. I thought to myself "Wait, I would have remembered posting that... was I trashed that night? I don't think so..." Didn't realize it was from two years ago Smiley: laugh

I'm sure some of us'll have seen it before that.

Kotaku had a review of 3.0

Let's just say it won't exactly be what you expected.

So after watching 3.33 I can honestly say I was not expecting that.

But seriously, I was getting stupid frustrated at how they all treated him in the beginning. Also why the hell wouldnt anyone explain it to Shinji. It Sort of pissed me off, they saved him to treat him like **** then get mad when he runs away. I mean didnt they learn anything from the last 2 movies. /sigh
I did get a bit uncomfortable with the Kaworu/Shinji scenes.

Overall it was Evangelion, but it was stupid frustrating, not in a bad way, in a this raises way more questions than it answers. I honestly hope they can close it out and tie up most of the plot. I just dont want to wait another 4 years.

Smiley: laugh at Eva 02+08.

There's a lot still that needs explaining, and not in the usual Evangelion "I have no idea what's going on" way.

Why the **** did everyone but Gendo and Father Time leave Nerv? If Wille has the resources to build an airship fleet, why the hell is Asuka's plugsuit held together with duct tape? Why didn't they just tell Shinji what was going on (and eliminate half the plot)? Why are the pilots still 14 years old (and no, "Curse of the Eva" doesn't cut it)?

He went off to do what he wanted, regardless of what everyone was telling him to do, caused Third Impact and killed probably the majority of Tokyo-2 and who knows other countries. Then he goes and causes Fourth Impact because he's pissy about piloting another Eva unit, even though Kawaru and everyone else was telling him not to, so chances are the only people left alive now are Father Time, Gendo, and the Highwind with Misato and crew are the only ones left alive. It's like someone at Gainex said "Hey, I bet we can't make Shinji worse!" and then they did. Them treating Shinji like **** is completely deserved. He's a selfish little ****.

I did like the Alpha & Omega line. Really, I'm enjoying the movies in general. See you again in two years for Fifth and Sixth Impact. **** you Shinji.

Still doesnt make sense at the end of Evangelion 2.22 Misato was cheering Shinji on for trying to save Rei. He didnt know he would cause 3rd impact. I can understand other people being mad at him sure but Misato or Asuka? I mean Asuka never really liked him much (Tsundere) but to blame him for trying to save their friend?

The 4th impact was all his fault yes, but he was blinded by thinking he could fix everything and make people not loath him anymore. A stupid move but we all know hes afraid of rejection because of his father. Also we learned his memories of being a child were erased, when they are playing Shogi he shows Shinji a picture of his mother and says you wouldnt remember after we erased your memories of that. So Shinji may have way less emotional maturity then normal kids his age.

Edit: Also I think if they told him exactly what happened or explained why he shouldnt pilot an EVA again he may have understood. Versus telling him nothing and having him get frustrated because they are treating him like ****. I mean when he saw what happened he did regret his actions. But by that time they were filling his head with ways to "fix it"

It makes sense. They didn't know it would cause Third Impact either, and Rei was one of their own. Probably the only one that did was Gendo, because he's the original Aizen. Chances are during the time jump they discovered just what Shinji was in relation to Gendo's plans, so there is a ton of resentment over it. They probably found out Shinji was the key to the end of the world and dislike him for it, and all their previous interactions with him have shown he's not capable of handling anything complex like that. They still made an effort to get him back. They didn't really have much time to sit him down and explain, either. They were attacked twice soon after he awakened. What's surprising is that Asuka didn't just leave him at the end. It's probably for eventual redemption. I guess everything will be explained in the next movie. Unless this company was known for screwjob endings ...

Either way, Shinji sucks.
