Are they comparable?
Tonight, they are.
Which do you like most? You can't weigh in unless you've watched both entire series and both movies.

Do I have to vote for one or the other? I like them both so much...

Recent news that a Cowboy Bebop live-action movie is in the works got me excited. Then I found out they're casting Keanu Reaves as Spike, and I got sad.

Also, another Firefly movie/season needs to be made.

Edit: I should be fair. The news of the movie is from last year, and Keanu's confirmation is from this January. I just found out a couple weeks ago, however.

I like Cowboy Bebop more than Joss Whedon.

As much as I love Joss Whedon, I think I liked Cowboy Bebop better... and probably because I enjoyed Spike better than Mal (not that Nathon Fillion isn't great).

I liked Cowboy Bebop as it was a more complete story. That is to say, there was an a lot more of it. You've got a full series that tells a complete story & a movie that only enhances that main series vs a series cut short before it's time with a good movie (Provided you liked the series) tacked on to try and end it.

And Bebop is the pinnacle of cool.

I enjoyed both & am patiently waiting for Hollywood to ruin BeBop for me.

Cowboy Bebop had a rich story arc that actually completed (mostly) satisfactorily. Firefly would have surpassed it if it had been given the chance. As it was, it just hinted at future plot elements that it never got to deliver on. So, Spike Spiegal wins...this time.
