Did anyone catch the first episode last week? I completely forgot about it, luckily we live in a world where the internet exists. I watched it last night.
So far, I can't really comment on the storyline. The whole time I was watching the episode, I was thinking "Twelve Monkeys". The production values seem a little low. The special effects didn't seem to integrate well with the surroundings. It was better than say... an Asylum film on Sci-Fi, but still did not seem to fit correctly.
I'm actually liking it. But sometimes new shows are like new MMOs. They always start out fun, but a few weeks into it, you get bored. So, we'll see. It's an interesting story line, if they play it right.
I haven't seen the third episode yet, but I will say the asian guy is hiding something. He says he didn't see anything at all, but I don't think he passed out like everyone else. After everyone woke up he was standing a large distance from the fbi vehicle, and that got me to wondering. However, at the end of the second episode that woman called him and said he will be murdered on april 29, 2010. It has been a good show so far, and it will make a good replacement to lost that is for sure.
So, right now it feels like they aren't quite sure where they want to bring this series. It's like they have opened up enough paths so they can go which ever direction they want to, leaving it open incase they get stuck.
And in the end it was canceled after the first season. The finale I guess was as good as any show canceled in the first season could have been.
Mark discovers the day of the next blackout. Which just so happens to be about 12 minutes after the time they saw in the first blackout. The images shown during the second Flash Forward showed a few dates, 2011, New Year's 2015, and showed Charlie, now somewhere between 18 and 25 (guess). So the second flash could have been 1 year, 4 years, or what appears to be maybe 8-15 years (judging by Charlie's appearance). One of the people with the QED rings takes the unconscious Janis from the hospital. The FBI building explodes with Mark inside. Older Charlie says "They found him!" in the flash. Possibly about Mark, who probably went missing after the second blackout
I think the hiatus the show took kind of killed it. I don't think many people returned after the break to watch it.
I am slightly disappointed that the series won't be going anywhere else.
I never watch shows like this when the first come out. They tend to be very hit or miss and I really hate getting involved in a show just to have it end after one season.
