If you've seen Higurashi no naku koro ni, and haven't seen Umineko yet, I highly recommend it. Umineko's got most of the intrigue and atmosphere like Higurashi, but a completely separate set of circumstances surrounding the setting.

The anime is currently nearing the end of the Second Arc, while the VN is currently at the Fifth Arc. The anime is set to cover the first 4 arcs, with a likely second season later. The VN Arcs are released every Comiket or so.

It's got all of the same graphic depictions and expressions as well if you missed those. I've barely said anything about the plot, but I wouldn't want to spoil anything. Smiley: tongue

I'm at episode 7 and it's really worth it so far. Of course I was kinda sold from the beginning since I loved Higurashi and was longing for the same atmosphere.

Cool, I'll have to take a look at it. I loved Higurashi.

Ooh! I didn't know there was more than Higurashi(which is near the top of my watch list). More for the list! Smiley: yippee

If you watch Higurashi, I strongly recommend that you also watch the 5 OVA. You can skip the 1st one(just silly stuff) but the other 4 answer a lot of questions.
