Actually I was thinking some of them work better. Especially the tears one.

Nuck Chorris is probably filtered, hence the reason I am scrambling the words a little.

"Are you questioning my badassness? Have you SEEN these guns?"

Thank you, Puck. Now I have apple cider in my lungs and am no doubt in danger of developing pneumonia.

BTW, Joph, I take back the remarks about the lip-sync and auto-tune being better. This week was just awful on that front. Lovely episode, otherwise, but holy hell that was bad.

And while we're at it, wtf is up with giving Shue--possibly the only person on the face of this earth whiter than me--all these rap/hip-hop/R&B songs? Is it just because he can dance? Or is he just the only male in the cast that can kinda-sorta pull it off?

The Auto Tune was especially noticeable during the first song with the Glee back-up singers. The synching and 'Tuning during Emma's song were pretty noticeable too but I cut them slack on that since Emma's not really part of the musical cast and I don't expect better from her.

The episode was pretty decent though. I sat down prepared to just abandon it halfway through if it didn't grab me but I watched the whole thing. "We're two good-looking Jews"... hehe.

Yeah, when you can't even recognize Rachel/Lea's voice in the chorus, you know the auto-tune has been overdone.

The thing about the auto-tune is...WHY? Most of these people were recruited for the cast straight off Broadway. They have the chops. So WHY?

I blame Finn. He's the vocal weak link, and because they auto-tune him, they have to auto-tune everyone else. Or maybe they are just suffering under some delusion that no one will like the soundtrack unless it sounds studio-polished.

There was one really bad moment during "Sweet Caroline" when you saw Britteny singing along and she was badly out of sync. Weird thing is, it started out of sync, then seemed to be back in sync by the end of the phrase. I think maybe she was chewing gum and missed her beat to start.

Besides the already stated horrible lip-syncing and touch-ups on their voices, I think this was a great episode! The music wasn't that good, but it came together SO well. I didn't understand the name of it much until the ending conversation between Emma and Will. "They don't belong together, but they're both good songs." It defines so many of the pairings in the show, which is why it worked out so well.

And, I have to say, Rachel is SO cute in a miniskirt. Also, Sue is freaking amazing.

So yeah, while the music was kinda lousy in this one, the episode itself was great.

I just realized we're going to have three weeks without Glee. Ima go cry now.

Am I desperate enough to watch the World Series just to see the cast sing the National Anthem? Nah! I am sure someone will upload the footage, minus the boring baseball part.

WHAT!?

GODDAMNIT, FOX!

Well, I guess that'll give me time to catch up on anime. I still need to get through Strawberry Panic...

I also want to start watching Dexter, as I heard it's great. And I'm tempted to watch Heroes, but every season after the first one has disappointed me. I expect this most recent one is just as bad.

Yeah. I get skipping a week for the World Series, but what's with the other two weeks?

That makes me a very sad panda. This last week's episode was awesome, although I was sad to see Puck and Rachel not work out. I thought they were very cute together. Miss Guidance Counselor's solo blew me out of the water. Since she hasn't sung in any previous episodes, I had subconsciously assumed she couldn't sing and wasn't going to be singing.

"So You Think You Can Dance" used the Glee cast version of "Push It" for a number tonight (starts around 1:50.)

Okay, SYTYCD that's enough to make me extend your probation another week. Still find the over-done lighting on the new set highly irritating, however. I won't kick you to the curb just yet, but you're halfway out the garage.

For you, Vataro.

Preview of the song you like. (warning for the unspoiled, there is another song preview in the same link. Unfortunately it doesn't work to put links behind spoiler cut)

Though, personally, the idea of Artie singing "Dancing with Myself" has me absolutely ROFL.

Here's a different clip, Vataro. I think you'll be pleased.

Also, one of the other song from the next ep.

Very excited, my copy of Glee: The Music, Vol. 1 has already shipped from Amazon and should be here by Tuesday.

Monday and Tuesday they're playing here in Gainesville; Wednesday and Thursday they're in North Charleston, SC. I was checking out this site for tickets: http://www.ticketmaster.com/Avenue-Q-tickets/artist/973986

I saw it on Broadway years ago with about half of the original cast; was AMAZING. I'm interested in seeing how it is down here. Tickets are a little steep; around $36.50 for the cheapest (plus tax and the idiotic fees ticketmaster charges), but I really want to see it!
