I've been watching the original series online (just a couple episodes at a time, I have a low tolerance for cheese) and now I keep seeing Spock/Uhura 'cuteness' everywhere in it.

This is not good for mah brain. Smiley: disappointed Stupid new movie twisting my perception.

I actually never liked the original series growing up, but after watching the movie twice and really enjoying it, I've been tempted to go back and give it another try. Where'd you find the episodes?

I heart NG and DS9 though.

I'm told that every time you see Uhura sing in ToS, Spock is accompanying on his lyre.

It's worse than you think.

That's how it starts. You start seeing relationship clues that aren't really there. Then next you're thinking about the characters when not actually watching the show. In the end, you find to your horror that you've become a shipper.

I'd kill myself before I let that happen!

Incidentally, am I the only one who thinks that Arthas and KT are a bit like a couple in WC:TFT? They've got serious bromance going on there, leaving poor Anub'arak feeling like a third wheel. And in WotLK, he's sent to die in some 5 man instance so Arthas and KT can continue their affair in secret. Also notice that in WotLK, KT no longer has his phylactery on his person - obviously because he gave it to Arthas as a token of his affection. The clues are everywhere. What's funny is that this kind of relationship seems to be common - e.g. Redcloak and Xykon in OoTS.

What's scary is when you start to consider Arthas and KT in the context of Rule Thirty Four.

So so sooooo too late. I've been ship-ficcin' for various geekdoms since my TNG days. For that matter, I was one of those X-Files fans for whom the term "Relationshipper" was originally coined back when fandom was first moving to the internets.

But Spock and Uhura are just yucky. My mind refuses to go there.

Try reading the new(ish) Arthas book.

Thanks for the link.

But how on earth is a lich ever cute? O.o High on my list of requirements for something to be considered cute, is that they must have skin and/or fur. Bones protruding automatically gets you disqualified.

It's kind of hard to explain, and I have a slightly twisted sense of cute. I think a lot of it is simply how much he seems to care for Arthas, it makes me go "awwwwwcute!" and feel bad that Arthas doesn't like him back.

Ah, gotcha. Maybe KT is secretly Greek and he wants to be Arthas's "mentor" nudge nudge wink wink.

It's okay. Give in to your Genki side. Embrace it with all your might, until its little eyeballs pop out of its skull.

That gives new meaning to the term "*****".

What? You were all thinking it!
