This movie was pretty bad. It was obviously aimed at young males age 12-17, and I guess for them it was a huge hit. Animals/robots humping each other/legs, giant pendulous balls and many references to genitalia, and a lead actress who is definitely not there for her acting skills (not that anyone contends that point). Overall, I'm not sorry I saw it but the movie was 10% action and 90% stupid ****... not very good Smiley: frown.

Worse than that Hulk remake last year? I doubt that sincerely, at least Transformers was entertaining.

The fighting scenes in Egypt were dragged on for way too long though, by the time the big bad arrived I just wanted it to end. And when he arrived it almost instantly did, why set him up for that part to then barely use it?

So much attempts of humour in the first part of the movie (at times the jokes were even decent) but so dragged out in the second part.

Still, fun to see, not as good as the first one imo though.

Everyone ******* about the first Transformers having too much people, not enough robots. Well, this movie delivered on that request. Wasn't a fan of the "Twins" being there for sh*tastic comedy relief.

Also, I'm pretty sure Galkaman is gay. Less Megan Fox? Her sweaty tits in Egypt while running were fantastic.
This.

I'm ok with Meagen Fox running in slomo.

Repeatedly.

Plot wise it was crap, but that's not why we saw it.

I watched Rise of the Fallen and for the first time in a long time, I actually found a sci-fi actiom movie too long. The Lord of the Rings was awesome and I enjoyed every single moment, which there were a lot of (12-hour extended edition marathon, go!), but with Transformers it just got too dull.

Maybe it had to do with the crazy camera handling (what's up with the hand-held epileptic **** they present these days?) and maybe it had to do with lack of proper acting (at times the movie felt like a B-movie production), but I caught myself yawning in the theatre.

And as far as I've noticed, 90% of the time, people are yelling or being frantic in their speech. Seriously, if you had to write a book over the movie, your 1-key would need replacing (I don't know what key on US keyboards holds the exclamation mark). Shia is constantly talking/yelling as if he's about to die and he really needs to say a couple of hundred script lines before punching the ticket. Everyone is yelling, sometimes just for the sake of yelling. It made it seem too fake.

Then there were the unrealistic things that made me twitch when thinking about it. Not so much the whole 'robots turning into vehicles and fighting each other' unrealism, but more the 'we're an anti-Decepticon military squad who gets help from other transformers, but we'll just waste a couple of dozen soldiers by NOT sending in the mega robots first' unrealism.

And they've been fighting Decepticons for a year or so since the first movie, right? And it's all a big hush-hush. Well, if every fight is like the one in Shanghai or wherever that was, who the hell doesn't know? I mean, a giant truck transforms into a huge robots which proceeds to tear apart the city before being wtfowned out in public. Oh yeah, gas slip. Suuuure.

I agree. They could've cut out a lot of the "running to the pillars" part, and it would've been a much more reasonable movie.

Weather balloon and swamp gas.

I refuse to watch the Transformers movies because Bumblebee is a Volkswagen Bug.

I just saw it last night and I really liked it. Granted I've been accused of having the sense of humor of a 13 year old boy, when I'm a 25 year old woman, but that's besides the point...

Why do people expect action movies to have good plots? Last I checked, action movies are purposefully designed to be mostly about the action, hence the title of the genre. Once in a while an action movie comes out that does have a good plot, but they're few and far between. I'm usually happy if they just have a decent plot, which I think the 2nd Transformers movie had. Great plot, no. Decent enough plot to keep me entertained and not get bored, yes.

And while I agree that Sam's Mom being high was not exactly accurate (I've never seen anyone high be that physically active!) it was still hysterical. It also gives me high hopes of social acceptance at some point in our generation, if they can include such an obvious pot reference in a movie that has nothing to do with pot.

Is there anyone who looked at Jetfire(old-timer posing as an SR-71), and was instantly reminded of Cranky Kong?

I don't get why people like to write something like this. Apart from trolling.
I started looking Zombi 3 last weekend and, boy, THAT is a horrible movie. Even if you want a trashy old zombie movie. I didn't watch it to the end.
Point being, there will always be a movie of lower quality so don't make stupid statements like the above.

Concerning Transformers I enjoyed it. Not so much as the first one but it was fun.
Sure the film has its flaws but overall it rocked.
