by Brandon Sanderson. Anyone read them? He is the author chosen to complete the WOT series. The Mr. found out about a series he had written and we both just finished reading it. I have to admit extremely well written! It's based on the idea that a hero of ages went to save the world, and failed. The story itself takes place 1000 years later.

I love how they explain the powers people have, as opposed to the general idea used in almost all fantasy books. Very different from your average fantasy book.

Mistborn is a great series! He has a new book out this week titled Warbreaker that is a one-off (not tied to a series). The magic system in it is tied to color, so I'm interested to see what he does with it. As a long time WoT fan, I feel good about the rest of the series being written by Sanderson, and am looking forward to seeing how he's able to infuse a little bit of his own style with Jordan's.
