Truly an amazing movie gladly saw it twice and would see it again. The only thing is it killed a lot of startrek history, and over 2/3 of the original series would never happen now. However thinking of it as a linear story continuation nothing has changed it's simply another "Mirror, Mirror" episode but with more. My curiosity is with Spock prime in the past again and with his past disregard for advancing scientific discovery by pointing it out to the creators how much faster will Starfleet develop with his "help?" Are we going to see Romulan, Klingon, Ferengi, Borg, Cardassian, Ect Technology cropping up too soon?
Knowing Spock (Prime), he wouldn't interfere with such situations if he can avoid it, as he knows what would happen if he interfered with the course of events too much. I mean he was adamant about letting Kirk and his younger self form a trusting friendship on their own rather than coming with Kirk and informing the younger Spock about the timeline events and what needed to be done in order to set things right. Even in his old age, Spock is still bound by logic enough to know that it's unwise to pollute time any more than it already had been, and giving them future technology and information is among such things.
What I'm more curious about is whether or not the Temporal Investigations of the 29th Century (the organization that deals with upholding the Temporal Prime Directive) will mend this, or if they even still exist following the events that happened in the movie.
