I'm seriously considering reading the manga.. the anime is starting to annoy me with all this half-filler half-story ****. Now, I'm the type of person who is really lazy. As such I've always opted for anime over the manga because it allows me to just lay down in bed and watch hours upon hours of awesomeness while only getting up for fudz. Should I just say ********** the anime" and go download the manga?

Download the manga, or just watch the anime?
Anime:4 (28.6%)
Manga:10 (71.4%)
Total:14

I watch the anime only, because I just can't follow the action in the manga. It's just that fight scenes and the like are difficult for me to follow from frame to frame in the manga.

If you yourself can understand it, then by all means go for it. Not sure where exactly to start, though. Was this whole Yuukimaru think even in the manga?

Well, there's always sites like this to read the manga online. It's already a considerable amount to read, but it is more than worth it imo.

I never bothered watching all the anime of Naruto mostly because of all the complaints regarding the filler episodes.

Realise that if you read the manga, you won't stop watching the anime. You'll simply view the same story twice.

I read the manga but do not watch the anime. Well, okay, I read the manga once out of boredom, but I read a whole @#%^ing lot of it.

But at least I'll know which episodes I don't have to pay any attention to. :x

I've noticed the pacing of Naruto (the Anime Show) is really slow in the beginning. They drag stuff out a ridiculously long time, and reshow stuff over and over and over. Like the bridge fight that's like 5 episodes with a 5 min recap of the episode before at the start of each new episode. Then there is the Chunin exam which has to last like 20 farking episodes. And I have also noticed that every now and then there is an episode that seems to have to do with absolutely nothing at all, and is pretty much a waste of time to watch (I'm assuming that's "Filler").

I would assume the Manga doesn't have any "filler" in it really, as it's what usually happens when the Show catches up to the manga and they need to waste time. Anyhow I haven't read Naruto, just watched the first 130 epps or so, but I found these things to be true of the Show/Manga "Bleach". There was significantly less BS in the Manga then in the show, which really dragged its heels at points.

The worst is all the god damn flash backs..

I recently caught up with naruto.. and I thought the last like.. 20 episodes were all story or something because it lead up to the three tails. But no.. it's just mostly ******** that has nothing to actually do with the manga.

This week's episode was pretty much the exact same thing as last week. This whole thing is getting ridiculous. Do we have to wait till Christmas until they move on to the next story? If it's filler again ... I'm done with the anime and back to the manga.

If the anime's pacing is irritating to you, the manga won't exactly make the storyline seem any better.

Actually the manga entirely fixes the pacing issue. Chapters don't begin with a recap over the very last episode. It doesn't take time to reexplain what you just saw happen. And finally, there are no flashbacks outside of flashbacks actually intended for literary purposes.
