Did Ishida get a prosthetic at some point? The story is bumbling from one point to another that its getting a little difficult to keep track.

If he did, Orihime healed him in this chapter when they chat, making it a moot point.

Well, yeah it is a moot point, but its a point I wouldn't have minded knowing about. This entire time I was just imagining him without the arm. My vision has been ruined.

The only reason I'm really posting is that, as much as I complain about Bleach's pace. sweet Jesus is Hajime no Ippo slow. Its been like two, three chapters where the two fighters have literally been STANDING THERE STARING AT EACH OTHER.

True, but he's about to move, so it's more than worth it! :D

Next chapter he twitches his shoulders, next chapter we see his opponent think about charging due to the twitch. Chapter after that he decides he will charge. Chapter after that he does charge! Twenty chapters later, they finally meet!

This week on Bleach: Bleach goes Matrix.

Including all the boring parts of that movie, least Orihime took a half step in badass. It would be nice if she finally admitted she loved Ichigo, and be done with it. Might actually force some character development for once, but It will never happen because they would need to write more then half a page of dialog for once instead of huge panels of 'action'

Orihime definitely moved up to finally being more useful than Sakura from Naruto. It was a pretty tough fight there. Her "I'll @#%^ your sh*t up" moment was definitely awesome. She's still no Nami or Lucy, but as a supporting main female character she's on the move. Hope (though, let's be honest ...) this continues for her.

I'm hoping next week someone throws a goddamn punch in Ippo. The only way they can keep from doing that is if it goes all Flash Back on us.

No. Noooo. Sakura actually fought someone, a serious fight that had meaning and relevance to the story. Orihime is nowhere close. Orihime has thus far only been a senzu bean with breasts.

I don't know, Sakura in the latest Naruto chapter is pretty fuggin badass.

I looked for Sakura figurines at ACEN but I forgot I'm the only person in the world that actually likes her character. Smiley: frown

Hey guys, we're gonna briefly remind you that something interesting in the story is going to happen with Ichigo's dad and Straw Hat, and then promptly bring you back to reality where nothing is happening.

It would have been more impressive if she didn't spend most of that fight as a puppet. Though, as the case may be, this is a comparison against Orihime, so I'll concede that point. I just didn't think that fight was more awesome than Orihime's "I'll @#%^ your sh*t up" moment.

It just didn't work for me. Maybe it's because I expect so little of her character that I see everything she does as nothing but an excuse for Tite Kubo to draw breasts.

I'm hoping that when Bleach comes to a close, the end game fighters will be Ichigo, Chad, Orihime, Ishida, Renji and Rukia. Like, they'll be the only ones left standing and they'll actually defeat whatever retarded bullsh*t they have to defeat.

But we all know the end game whenever it comes will be Ichigo, Byakuya, Kenpachi, Ichigo, and Hollow Ichigo. Chad, Orihime, Ishida, Renji and Rukia will all end up pooling their powers so that they can lose to one enemy that will then be defeated by Mayuri while the captain commander just watches even though he could've one-shotted everything if he weren't such a lazy f*ck*ss.

"That sounds an awful lot like what happened in Hueco Mundo, you know."

Yeah. I know. We all know.

Honestly, she's the only character I have any expectations about. Granted, those expectations revolve around the belief that her every appearance makes her less and less interesting ... like this week's chapter.

I'm more interested to see if Ippo wins his fight.

Edit: Prediction - The guy Ichigo is fighting who's name I can't even remember after reading it not ten minutes ago turns out to be the REAL Aizen, who caused the fight with the FAKE Aizen to produce 1.21 Jiggawatts of Spirit Energy to really unlock the key to God's Door, or whatever it was his goal was in the last arc.

She didn't have the well being to get beaten up. A shame, really. Also, isn't the way Ginjo is training Ichigo the same way Goku did to Gohan?

Page 17: Aizen pose from previous arc. The "I just came with the force of a thousand suns" pose. I laughed.

I kind of want Ippo to lose the fight he's in. I like it when main characters lose real fights, that way they have something to aim for instead of just plowing through the competition.

re: Ippo - I really liked the look on Ippo's face in the panel after the punch connected. I've been waiting for a look like that on him for a long time. Agree on the build up needing work. I had started losing real interest in the fight a while ago. At least it doesn't disappoint, IMO.

I was on the edge of my seat for the Orihime Wakes Up scene, and could hardly contain myself during the Orihime Has Breakfast scene.

Also: Doesn't Ichigo already have powers that transcend Shinigami? He's going to transcend that now?

Also also: With each transcendence, his sword gets smaller and smaller. Its like steroids.

Kubo Tite method of tricking readers into reading:

>Starves you on plot
>Shows you lots of bland fighting
>Shows you lots of Orihime
>Just as you're about to say "f*ck this this story is going nowhere," he gives you a soap opera twist
>You're so starved on story progression that you go "Oh FINALLY now let's see where this is going"

Tsukishima is his cousin? Assuming this isn't some mind control bullsh*t, which it probably is, that's stupid. "Oh yeah we're totes related, you just forgot about me because your shinigami powers gave you amnesia because you've been junctioning them to the memory part of your brain ever since you joined Balamb Garden."

If his bookmark-sword "cuts" through anything, I'm going to guess he "cut" through their memories and disbelief so that they'd believe anything he said, or something lame like that. I wouldn't be surprised if when he sliced up Orihime, the excuse for what he did was "cut" through her hostility.

More surprised Kojima survived that punch. Him dying or being crippled would have been awesome plot for Ippo.

Edit: Bleach needs to kill off Ichigo and focus on Karin becoming a shinigami. I'm not spoilering because @#%^ you.

Huh. Didn't expect this. His ability seems slightly more complicated than I thought (at the very least, in the execution of the ability... unless he went around stabbing everyone in town in preparation).

Although I thought that while Inoue was hit by him, she still questioned it and knew she didn't actually know him... so either he hit her again (or she's just a weak willed woman who decided she was crazy for ever questioning him) or she's faking. >_>

Evil Ginjo I'd say called it, but that'd be like predicting the sun will rise, oxygen will be breathed, and Bleach plot will be predictable.

Even the non action of Ippo this week was more exciting. They almost remembered that he has a love interest!

Ginjo being evil may have been predictable, but it would have been a sensible plot twist. Him being evil only because he was double negative'd is such stupid bullsh*t. I can picture Kube pondering to himself about plot, "no, no, that'd just make too much sense."

Cutting once puts a person under his spell, doing it twice seems to break that spell, or so I understand it anyway.

That much is easy to understand. But what's the point? What was the timeline for him being cut the 1st/2nd times? What did he do while under his spell vs not? Clearly it didn't affect him too much if he had the mental fortitude to have him do it again? I can guess at his overall motivation, but even that isn't certain. It just doesn't make sense to me. I guess Kubo will probably give us a few chapters of backstory to explain? We'll see.

Maybe I read it wrong, but I was under the impression that Tsukishima's power involved just inserting himself into people's memories, and the reason Bigtits McSenzu Bean Orihime, Chad, and the Freelance Shame Squad others were defending him was because he inserted himself in a way that made him important to the storylines of the past. Not actually change personalities. So now it can change personalities if hit twice? Or what?

I'm with Allegory on this: Kube is actively writing in ways to make sure things don't make sense.
