Time Butler totally has another life left.

Looks like Time Butlerâ„¢ got himself steamrolled through at least another chapter. Maybe Kenpachi will just break into another room to find another fight. "How'd he do that?!"
"I was bored waiting."
"That ... that doesn't make sense!"
"And?"

Anyway, the showdowns are shown, but I can already see the two-on-one is going to turn into a two-on-two, since the baddie with the boots seems to be missing.
And Rukia is being tortured by cute things. Smiley: dubious

Wow, early chapter this week. Interesting.

I do hope Byakuya owns the **** out of past-altering guy. Also, is it just me or does Byakuya suddenly look a lot different?

He does look a bit off, no idea why.

I wouldn't put it past Byakuya to actually do get hit by him.

With Byakuya's flower power completely blocking his "slice everything" sword? Unlikely.

I know, I know. I can't decide whether or not Kubo is going to wrap the whole fullbring group up or not though and if Byakuya manages to beat him, what's going to happen to those who are affected by his fullbring? Do they snap out of it or not? It would seem likely that some or most of the group can escape somehow, perhaps dragging a soul society captain with them, and with Rukia's connection, Byakuya does make for a likely candidate.

BTW the early release this week was because Shounen Jump came out on Saturday instead of the normal Sunday. Most of the translaters got stuff up a day earlier than usual as a result.

Fullbringers are getting their asses kicked, I expect it to get even more boring in the next 2 chapters.

Meh, I was expecting power ups, but not so ridiculously over the current Enemy Scrubs of the Arc. I was also expecting two-on-two with Ichigo and Ginjo, but seems I lost track of Renji, but seeing this chapter I can't really see that being anything more than just being drawn out fluff.

I'm also 99.99% certain that muscles don't work that way, Ikkaku.

As an aside that has very little to do with anything than a random observation, Marvel's new Monkey King reminds me of Ikkaku. That's a compliment.

Well, that's something unique to Bleach that doesn't appear in other similar comics. These are, by far, the most useless mooks to have ever been created. If they were nameless I wouldn't think twice about it, but they're named and faced. By comic/manga logic, they should at least present some kind of threat.

Seriously feel paranoid when I notice that the shinigami are fighting people that look like a lot like themselves. Probably just bad art, but I can't shake the feeling its relevant in some way.

I get the impression that they're all green, and they've never fought any enemies besides each other. It isn't so much lack of skill or ability that's making them suck, it's a lack of experience.

You think you're so tough and powerful since you can beat up your strong friend from next door. And then you meet a fifty year old death god who has been training to fight what may be the Devil incarnate, and is pretty pissed off at you for hurting his friend.

I feel the same way, like these guys may get their asses handed to them now, but later on join the good guys. Or something.

I just don't think we're done with these guys. Unless this is all filler and Kubo's struggling for new ideas.

But whatserface suicided, so it's possible.

So I finally finished catching up with the manga. Must say I'm happy that the absurd body suit thing is over, even though it only lasted a handful of chapters--I was quite ready to move on. Can't say I love his new style, but it's better than his old shikai form. The form he fought Aizen in was my favorite though...

But, yeah, this arc HAS to be largely irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, beyond getting Ichigo his power back. The characters are all dying too fast and the main villains just aren't interesting enough.

But I'm fully expecting that they'll be bringing up the Spirit King again quite soon.

[EDIT]

Honestly, I think these characters are being set up just to show how all characters have grown or changed in 17 months (if at all). Granted, that's somewhat hard to do without us having some kind of reasonable reference point for how powerful they are, but still.

I think most of these guys & gals are nothing but fodder. The only "important" thing going on is that Ichigo is fighting the original substitute shinigami. He will have a back story, it will involve him getting screwed over, which will 'cause Ichigo to emphasize.

Then, after almost getting killed, Ichigo will go (Bankai, Hollow Mask, Super Saiyan-Viking, or some such other nonsense) & defeat him.

Either that or they're brothers.

Given how things are going, I think it's more likely that the walls will come down (so to speak) and everyone will gangbang Ginjo. But it will all be for naught, as Ginjo got used enough to Ichigo's power to GTFO before they can do anything major and becomes the main villain of the real arc.

I hope not. He's just not interesting to me. Part of it is that it just seems too forced. The way Aizen was introduced as the major villain was a lot smoother.

This week we learn that just because you have 100% critical hit rate doesn't mean anything if the enemy is vastly over your level. It's really a shame that this chapter could have shown us just how much the character advanced by showing us new techniques and abilities and such, but so far we've had three literal steamrolls (Kenpachi, Renji, and Hitsugaya), one easy victory (Ikkaku, who doesn't get steamroll status due to being the only one to get hit), three just standing around (Byakuya and Ichigo/Uryu) and one lost in a bunch of fluffy bunnies (Rukia). It could be a power reduction for all we know because there is nothing technical going on. Even One Piece and Naruto when they jumped time we were quickly introduced to higher level of skill/power levels.

Sounds boring. Where do you read your scans? Mangastream doesn't have them up yet (I was wondering why you were posting on Tuesday when usually they're up Wed/Thurs)...
