Ahh, wtf. The Bleach writers are doing this on purpose aren't they? Sure I find it annoying when fillers are poorly inserted into the main storyline, but that doesn't mean you should deliberately break the existing story for them.

Yeah, I do suppose it's inevitable though. They got a bit close to the manga again.

I just wish they thought up better filler stories.

Should I just read the manga instead of watching the anime? Seems preferable at this point...

Episode 203: Setup to the giant battle royale, ends with them leaping into battle.

Episode 204: Why don't we wander around town aimlessly. Lets also disregard the fact that this would be impossible, due to the characters doing the aimless wandering being trapped in another dimension.

What do I have to do to get some solid content around here, ride around on a horse arrancar with a bow and arrow?

Had episodes 203 and 204 DLed at the same time without knowing about the newest filler. After 203 ended I was really really pumped for the battle to come. Then I started 204...
Can't remember the last time I got so furious over watching anime.

Remember there is still the turn back time mini arc before the big battle, so they weren't really that close.

This is the main reason I don't watch the kind of long-running filler anime (e.g. Naruto, Bleach)

They did the same exact thing earlier, don't you remember? Finish saving people, and then magically teleport out of the entire area without explaining how the left and go into a filler arc pretending it never happened.

Srsly; I stopped dling bleach right there. Smiley: lol

If you're talking about the earlier filler arc with Lurichyo and Shuusuke, they at least warned us about that one (something along the lines of "The all-new Amagai Shuusuke arc!" at the beginning of the first episode of the arc). If you're talking about something else, I've probably blocked it out of my mind.

edit: Looking at the list of Bleach episodes, episode 206 is "The Past Chapter Begins! The Truth from 110 Years Ago". Is this what you're talking about Allegory? Sounds... annoying...

Sounds right. I won't give you spoilers, but it's not an annoying "flashback."

Well, that's slightly better. Is it worth anything though?

I think you got the idea from me that it is some sort of manga filler. It isn't. It's important to the story. It's like a long flash back.

That is the impression I got. I also don't like that they're doing it... right before the "big battle". But oh well, if it really is important to the story perhaps I'll enjoy it, even if I usually loathe flashbacks Smiley: tongue.

Filler episodes don't annoy me half as much as flashback episodes do. I may have a short-term memory, but its not *that* bad. >.>

Most Filler sucks. With Bleach, it sucks series wise, but the 2 movies I've seen weren't terrible.

Mangas approaching it's climax though, they might be done soon(ish)...

It's still my opinion that the manga is not close to finishing.

1. Kenpachi hasn't learned his sword's name yet, and we'll probably see his bankai before the series' end.
2. Too many unrevealed captain bankai, though this may change in the current battle.
3. Vizard haven't done enough. Although I'm sure they will join the fight soon I believe they are going to do quite a bit more.
4. Hell. The sotry has room to expand in a totally new direction. They've been to Siereitei, they've been to Hueco Mundo, and last there is Hell that was briefly introduced earlier. Bleach is a popular series and I very much doubt the author is going to let it end when he can keep it going.

It's the anime that going to bring about it's end, i think. Either that or when they finish this current arc, theyll have to do another year or more of filler while he keeps at the manga.

Unfortunately, fillers are a necessary evil when an anime is based off of its manga. At least they brought back Lurichiyo instead of Don Kannoji and the Karakura squad or whatever they called. I was never a fan of those fillers during the Soul Society arc.

At least Bleach fillers aren't as bad as Inuyasha or Naruto fillers. Inuyasha is the king of filler and Naruto I just couldn't take it and dropped it during the fillers and never went back to it.

Naruto is pretty much solid filler, because they strain the actual content out so much (Hokage bleeding to death for a whole six episodes - yeah, you can't hold suspense that long) as well as adding a load of total ******** filler, like zombies that come from noweher and kill everyone, even if they;re high level ninja, with ease. Hmm.

All filler is equally bad. By necessity nothing can change. No existing characters can die. No filler introduced characters can continue on. No relationships can be developed. Nothing can be revealed that will later be used or referenced. At the end of filler everything is back to how it was before.

So basically anime filler is the majority of western television.

I decided that no, I'm not going to even try to put up with filler. I started downloading Bleach 205 today, checked wikipedia for the title to make sure it was a filer continuation, and then promptly removed the torrent from my list.

Never again, never again.
