After one of my ex's suggested that i read the book 'Eragon' as it is suposedly better then the movie (havnt seen, oh well), i find it is a very interesting read, so i went and bought the 2nd in the series, but after finding no 3rd book, i was wondering

are there other, similar books out there i should try to find and read? similar i.e. dragon mythology/fantasy/fiction

thanks in advance ^_^

If you are Purely interested in teh dragon side of things then i highly recomend Anne McCaffery's Pern Series, it's not fantasy but it's cram full of Dragons, talking symbiotic Dragons.

Theres always the Dragonlance books to fall back on aswell but i'm not a huge fan.

other than those there are always Pulp novels of teh "forgotten Realms" type stuff that regularly involve dragony stuff. R A Salvatore is best but i fear the Dragons are more in the line of occasional villians than central plot.

Dragonlance saga might be worth reading too. Also the Deathgate novels if you can find them.

That's really interesting lol, I dunno if I already told this story, but I read it at the same time as my husband (boyfriend at the time) on a trip to California :D

I have soo many book suggestions :].
You might Like the Earthsea series by Ursuala K. LeGuin. There are dragons in it although mainly it is about a wizard.
The popular new book Twilight is amazing as well, although that's about vampires not dragons.
Other books I can think of off the top of my head are The Sword of Shanarra, anything by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, Tolkien, anything by Garth Nix and ahhh there's so much to read! x3

The Smoke Theif

My mom turned me on to this series. It was a good read, but as it is a romance fantasy novel there are some sexual scenes in it that are not in most of the fantasy novels that I read.

A great portrail of dragonkin and how they survive amongst humans. I would deffinatley recoment this book only if you are the type that devours anything written about Dragons and dragonkin. If you can cope with the romance the fantasy behind this novel is actually quite good.
