Well, that wasn't half bad!

No spoilers in this post, but it might be an interesting end after all. Although I still have a nagging feeling it'll be an ending I've thought of since early season 3, I posted it earlier on this thread and it's making more and more sense unfortunately. Although I suppose we do have to give professional writers a bit more credit than that, I hope anyway.

edited to add: rereading this thread, lots of hints were named that actually fit the ending of this episode, I wonder how they'll use this twist.

No. You people really haven't figured this out yet?

The Cylon civil war becomes a war between the "mechanical" cylons, the raiders, the centurions, etc. vs the humanoid ones. The humanoid ones start to lose, and eventually are forced to ally with the actual humans. Together they destroy the mechanical ones with some lame deus-ex machina "secret" and all find Earth together, so that the "deep" ending of the lame story arc is that you and I are all descended from a mix of human and machines.

The end.

Should have been obvious. Galactica writers do the obvious thing, because it's what the audience wants.

This or the fact that humanity was wiped out long ago and the Galactica is actually crewed by humanoid infiltrator cylons who somehow had their memory wiped and think they are full humans. They get to Earth and uncover their past which leads into the next crappy spin-off.

Not to bad a show but that really does make a sad ending there. She got a bad rap and they off'd her for it.

Who expected that other one to just shot herself? I lost it on that one.

I dislike episodes that end with "To Be Continued".

Have you seen the trailer for next week's episode?

That makes me dislike endings like that even more!

I'm enjoying these episodes a lot more than most of Season 3.

Trailer with a heck of a lot of spoilers for those who haven't seen this week's episode.

this better be a trick... if they ruin the whole series with ending like this then they should be pushed into the heart of the sun with the cyclon chicken from nj...

There is most definatley a trick going on here. The first episode of this season shows that. I don't want to give spoilers out but, (this may be spoiler-esque) between one person finding something and another remembering something the whole story doesn't fit together. Something's up

I suppose it's possible they're going for a similar ending like in "Maze of Death" by Philip K. ****.

I doubt it though, there'ld be an uproar if that's the case.

It'ld be better than a Sopranos's ending though, to say the least.

I'm the last Cylon....

But seriously, I have no interest in watching the final run, so I hope one of you guys posts a summary of the ending.

Anyone notice the huge cracks that were forming in the "engine room". I'm betting that we're going to find out they're fatal to Galactica or something, and they'll be forced to land on a planet for good.

I suppose we're on route to the actual end episodes now.

Yeah, something like that. At the very least loose the protection of the Battleship.

When I saw that part it made me think more along the lines of that they have been there for a long time and no one noticed them. Maybe revealing that Galactica has been through something before. They have been saying, "This has all happened before, and will happen again"...

Or maybe Adama is having a bad dream and everything in the last 3(?) seasons never really happened? The lines are reality breaking up as he is waking up and when he does wake up at the end of the finale, it will be as a massive Cylon fleet begins it's invasion of the colonies, and that will end the show.

It's pretty crazy, yeah, but what if?

The only reason that will happen is if the writers are extremely pissed off for being canceled and this is their payback. I would also disown any association of Bstar and myself if this happens. "It was all a dream," is the biggest copout ever.

I finally found and watched all the webisodes of "Face of the Enemy". That does clarify a heck of a lot of Gaeta's motivation.

And a pox on Sci-fi.com for not allowing anyone outside the US for watching it on their site. I can understand the reasoning a bit though, but it's still not fun, it's not the only site out there I can't watch because I'm not from the US. (Hulu for instance, or that one that shows the Naruto episodes a week after they aired)

Annoying, mostly because I'm just too impatient.

I feel the same way about the BBC site. I can't watch any of the content there. Isn't the internet supposed to promote global unity?!

Yeah, it would seem to no longer be the case.

I can't watch most of the BBC content either, no Doctor Who videos for instance, although I can play the games.

So, they reveal the final member of the final five right at the beginning, then tell you there was another model that was boxed.

Also, Galactica is dying.

The bit of back story was interesting, but that's about it.

Daniel wasn't boxed, 1 pretty much killed him.

I liked this episode, a nice recap of events really and with Helen on the move again, the XO is going to have some explaining to do when they meet up [grin:]

NO... this is just not happening... the whole ship is going to die ?? /sigh

Well at least we know now that Ti's wife is not an airhead and actually came up with the whole thing to make the skin jobs. That episode has some great real Sci Fi story to it, made it worth waiting all this time.

Yeah, a shame they didn't get the same level of quality this week. It's not a bad one, it just feels a bit of a waste with only four episodes left. Sure, the last one might be three hours long, but still.

Ah well, there should be some indication as to how it's all going to turn out soon either way.

I think it's pretty apparent Cara is somehow related to the 2nd Cyclon model, Daniel.

The Boomer bit was interesting. ***** got her vengeance.

Poor Chief, poor Athena.

Well, that piano friend would be her father, my guess anyway. And as Omegavegeta points out, a very good candidate to be Daniel, which would make Starbuck the true first offspring of the Cylons.

Not much happened again, relatively speaking. I did like that song though, the one Cara finally rediscovered, anyone know if that song was based on a real one?
