I can honestly say I have never read a zombie related novel. I may start off on these.

I can also honestly say i have never read any zombie related novels however i am secure in this knowlage and wouldn't want to spoil it by actually reading one.

Now vampire novels on the other hand....

Vampires are inherantly more interesting than Zombies, since they can talk amoungst other things.

Well, to be completely honest, zombies talk too. Their grunting is bound to be a meaningful language, filled with hidden nuances and unexpected twists! And let's not forget the classic "brains". There's depth in it, beyond measure!

Some of the zombies in that series talk....but they are more like Lich's.

I've always been a huge zombie fan but very few good books are written about them. Zombie SUrvival guide is a hoot as is World War Z. This Series though...I couldn't put down. I like his twist on zombies, he ties in a bit of Celtic & Egyptian lore as well.

I love Zombie movies...I want to love Zombie books....I read Monster island and nation and hated both.....THey are really not ZOmbie booms but rather "monster" stories..

But enough of the negitives.....Here are some good to great Zombie books:

The Walking Dead. I buy these on Amazon. roughly 2 graphic novles a year come out. They have a very Romero feel and are heavy on the players in the story not just the gore A+

Day By Day Armeggedon. I thought this one would suck but I gave it a chance. Its written like a jornel of someone going thru a zombie outbreak and the fall of socity. Very well done. The only knock I have on this one is the main guy is to " rambo" for lack of a better term. Yes hes military, yes hes trained but common not everyone soidier is rambo.

World war Z and the zombie surival guide. Lots said about both in the fourms here allready both are great and I cant wait for the WWZ movie.

Marvel Zombies. THis was a short fun read if you like comics and zombies.

Down the road. Not great not bad. Follows a TX school teacher dealing with a Zombie outbreak.

Autum. Zombie out break in england. Not a bad twist to the romero world.....in this one everyone one dies and the survivers have a few days before they come back....there are several sequals that I keep meening to get to. YOu can dowload Autum from the authers website for free btw.

The rising and the city of the dead. Again there are a few leaps of ligic and these are not the romero zombie I want but both of these book were well done.

Cell. Not really zombies but most of this book is a good one.

see I loved the Monster series because they had some interesting twist..like the Liches :)

World War Z is awesome.

Im addicted to The Walking Dead - so much so that I buy the comic instead of waiting on the graphic novel.

What isthat authors website you mentioned?

I love zombies. I think that while they are an interesting horror genre - it's got to be quite hard to come up with new, interesting stories.

Link is to the full DL of Autumn and sample of some of his other books.

As for the walking dead....I hate reading just a comics worth of material...so I wait for the Graphic novles....I was the same way with the Preacher series.
