Jumper, by Steven GouldFollow

The movie starts next week. Book was very well written. From the previews, it looks like they stuck closely to the book.

The Jumper book I read is nothing like this movie makes me wonder if there is more than one book called jumper by the same author.

I didn't like the book. I thought it was over hyped, and not as imaginative as it could be.

The movie based on the previews alone is obviously nothing like the book, because in the book there is only one jumper person.

Have you actually seen the previews? The movie looks NOTHING like the book.

That's not necessarily a bad thing though. Even though I enjoyed the book I recognize that there's no way they could keep a movie accurate to it. The first half of the book just wouldn't be interesting enough in movie form and the second half, well there's no way they could moviefy that post 9-11.

Yep, I've seen the previews. That's why I said it looks like they stuck close to the book. In just the flashes I saw, I noticed the "falling from the skyscraper" technique he used to punish the terrorist he caught, the "Fortress of Solitude" he made in the desert, the government agents chasing him around with their dart guns, and a few other things which came straight out of the book.

From a movie reviewer: "Ok, fess up. Who the **** told Hayden Christenson he could act???"

Apparently, the movie sucks more than a vacuum cleaner.

I have felt that way since Life As A House.
