My husband and I watched the Dragonlance movie this weekend.

It was truly awful. No, really. They condensed it all into an hour and a half, and while they didn't add anything, they certainly took a bit away. It was fast paced, the artwork for the animated part wasn't that great, and the CGI dragon stuff was just terrible.

Really, don't waste the money renting this.

Well, after seeing the trailer for it, I was just going to wait for some channel to air it in a couple of years. The more I hear of it, the less inclined I am to even do that.

My husband and I have decided that they spent all of their money getting Keifer Sutherland to do Raistland's voice and that ate into their CGI animation budget.

It's set to arrive tomorrow from Netflix. At least no money will have been spent on it (not directly, anyway).

Yes I can. I don't remember you warning me. Smiley: frown

We knew it would be bad going in. But... Well, wow.

o rly?

in the Dragonlance thread I wrote:
after the release of Dungeons & dragons: the worst movie ever to apear on screen with no exceptions. I Vowed never to watch another TSR/Wizards related monstrosity.

If you are so foolish as to put yourself through and experiance like that more than once i have nothing but pity for you.

Fantasy Novels generally make bloody aweful films.
IF thats not warning enough next time i shall do it in bold and itallics [:tongue2:]

Well, I didn't see that. So there.

Not that it matters. There are some things in life that, no matter how bad they are, you will subject yourself to them out of principle.

Sweet mother of God, did Kiefer Sutherland lose a bet??

That was horrible. All of it. The animation sucked. The CG looked like it came from a 2002 Playstation game and meshed horribly with the animation. The voices sucked. The pacing on the dialogue was horrible! It was as if they just gave everyone a copy of the novel and said "Here, read this out loud." At one point, the haft of Verminard's mace goes through his body, that's how shoddy the animation was. Seriously, WTF is up with this?

Stay away from this movie. It wasn't "so bad, it's funny" bad. It was just plain bad.
