Apparently I've been living in a caveFollow

Because I never realized this forum was here and I've been an Alla-rat for quite some time.

I'm really glad I stumbled across it because I've been desperate for something to read and I've gotten quite a few leads.

Now my turn to see if I can stump anyone: a very long time ago, when I was about 9-10, my dad, who was a sci-fi nut, gave me a book to read called The Ice People. The book made quite an impression on me and I've never forgotten it.

I've been searching for this book for the last few years and having some difficulty finding it for a reasonable price. To my surprise, I found some sellers on Amazon who are not charging a fortune for it.

Anyone else heard of or read it?

I should clarify that it's the one by Rene Barjavel and Charles Lam Markmann, not Maggie Gee.
