Currently looking for a sci-fi with certain aspectFollow

#1 Jul 27 2007 at 10:50 PM Rating: Good
I am looking for a good book where one or more people have super human powers. Now i am not talking a Superman, or even Neo, but something with more change to the character. What i mean by change is i mean like changing chape, preferrably rapidly and in different ways(i am not only saying particularly morhping). The only example i can think of is think about Terminator 2, the liquid metal dude that could create swords and crap with himself.

Main reason for this is i am hoping to make a short novel/story and i really want to see another person(s) aproach to it

Honestly I don't think I've read anything along the lines of which you're speaking. The only thing I can really even think of is a series of books written by an author named Matt Forbeck. It's set in an AD&D type world but he has a character who is a shapeshifter. The series that this character appears in is the Lost Mark.

The usual approach is "I don't want to be seen as some hack ripping off Jekyll and Hyde."

To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

Late reply, I know. But the Amber books by Roger Zelazny involve a slightly similar theme. Especially the latter five books.

Cant exactly tell whether your being sarcastic, or whether i even know exactly what you mean :P
If i interpret right your saying i dont want to just take the way they do it or something, but what i am actually trying to do is think of at least 2 ways of describing things like my idea. Since there would be rapid changes for an extended time( IE not someone turning into an animal but more someone changing 'limbs' of types during a fight multiple times(i would explain more deeply but I am tired and it is something i gotta explain in a paragraph or 3 ><)
