I would join you in this, as I love all the Mercedes Lackey & James Mallory I found so far at the library. I'm currently reading the latest in The Ring of Fire Series, 1634: The Baltic War, by Eric Flint and David Weber. There are a lot of fan fiction that gets publish on Baen's Web site, and they have a lot of their books available on e-books, so getting copies isn't hard.

Lately I find I'm reading more authors publish by Baen Books then any other publisher. I should have payed attention more to the program at Balticon 41, as to the literary track, as it wasn't until Sunday Night that I realized David Drake and Eric Flint were both there. Well I may have talked to someone from Baen in the hallway about John Ringo.

If I can find a copy at the local Library, that caters to SF/Fantasy readers, I may check it out. I know my middle child may already have a copy too. She working her way through to having a complete set of Mercedes Lackey in her library.

I would like to get everyone started this weekend so we can discuss the first few chapters or so like Monday-Tuesday. Does anyone not anticipate being done w/whatever book they may be on atm by Friday evening?

Book is on the way, but has a 5-7 workday delivery, so could be Monday I get it at last. I'll update when I have it.

I'm sitting this book out. Not that I don't want to read it. I've been sick all this week and I have an eye infection that the doctor's think has spread to my bloodstream. I've been sleeping more than anything this week and I really don't think I will be able to participate in this one.

Yeah I saw you post about that in the OOT :( Sorry you feel so crappy call your doctor and get them to atleast prescribe some sort of pain reliever!! My son scratched his eye recently when he was trying to get an eyelash out and they gave us a pain reliever gel to put in his eye along w/the meds. *hugs*

Sounds good to me, if I get it this week. Starting to think they will never ship it to me.

Might be easier for us to buy it for you and ship it Smiley: laugh

I'ld love to join in, but I would definitely sit this book out either way. Haven't got the book, same problem as GieG (very few good bookshops) and if he's having trouble having it delivered, I'm definitely not going to find it in the next few weeks.

But for the next book, I'ld gladly join.

I found it here (English version)

I don't know if there is a Belgium version of bol.com, and if not if they deliver to Belgium. But over all it's is a good internet shop for books and CD's.

You might be right there Brill. It has now been 7 workdays and still the status is In progress. But most off the times they are better, and you will have it within 2-3 days.

Thanks!

I tend to use Amazon a lot, it seems they have a similar price (5GBP on Amazon, 9EUR on Bol).

I wonder why they are lagging behind on this one then. Maybe just an odd book for them to get a hold of?

I think it is, as there isn't a dutch version off the book. I think it's a bit difficult to ship right away.

But they changed the status again, it is now on sent again :)

Finally got it. I'll try to start on it, but this weekend the GF and I are having our birthdays, so not much time to read.
