I know many of you have watched it, and I also know that it was cancelled. Sci-Fi channel is now airing the entire series. I have to admit, I didn't watch it when it was first on because it either conflicted with something else I watched, or I just didn't think it would be any good. I apologize. I've started watching it, and cannot understand why I didn't watch it then. It's a great show. DOes anybody know if it's out on DVD or not? Also, you Firefly lovers, are you going to see Serenity?

It's 15 episodes, and available on DVD. I think I'll go buy it.

Great series that was completely short-lived and I think they should bring it back. We'll see after Serenity hits theaters.

Gotta love anything by Joss Whedon. I missed it myself then checked out the DVD at the insistance of a friend. I was quite pleased.

Sci-fi is often just a western in space, but I belive the way the western feel was emphasized threw many people off of wanting to watch the series.

It was a shame it was cancelled, but I am hoping that with the movie and the dvd coming out, maybe like the family guy the firefly series will be resurrected. (Doubtful, but I can hope)

Due to an agreement with FOX, Firefly cannot reappear as a TV series for 10 years (well, eight now... it was 10 when it was cancelled). When you calculate how long it will take to produce 3 major motion pictures in the Firefly universe, that should be just about right.

When a show is cancelled by the network, any agreement like that should be null and void.

the network killed it.

they aired it out of order-the pilot wasn't aired until they had decided to kill the show, & were only going to air 2 more episodes.

they changed nights/times like 3 times, making it practilly impossible for anyone to follow the show.

I have no idea why they would do such a thing, but they had pretty much decided to not give it a chance at all.
