Based on the initial announcement, who is making plans to give this a whirl? A new FF MMO sounds very appealing to me...

Although, I've watched the Old Republic trailer a few times today and that looks pretty awesome too...

I've had enough of S.E.'s lack of interest in communicating with the public, so.

No. hell no.

After FF11 dies, or I find something better to do with my time. That'll be it for me for S.E.'s MMO's.

Hah, I was coming here to post that same link.

I'm really excited of the idea of a FFX* replacement for FFXI as much for a jump from DX8 to DX10+, than I do for an FFOnline game that hopefully doesn't feel as dreadfully slow as the game does now that I decided to reactivate and give it a whirl again.

I wonder if the server(s) will have similar names to the FFXI ones, it would be really neat to reconnect with the many FFXI people I ran with from 2004-2006.

I would really like to be able to log on for 30 minutes and actually accomplish something, as opposed to logging on, starting to head to wherever I decided to go, log off 30 minutes later when I get there, come back on the next day to realize that I forgot something in my moghouse, and that would spell my evening. lol

Unless a PS3 falls into my lap somehow, I'll pass. (Nope, don't really do PC gaming).

I'll play FFXI til I no longer play FFXI.

I'll most likely make the jump with a few friends... depending on how it is of course. Just got the GF into FFXI, so starting a fresh MMO together might be fun as well.

Will SE change their ways with this MMO? Only time will tell. Already sounds like they are enhancing the billing issues (actual pro-rated billing for partial months!! :P) so who knows what is possible.

KotOR does look good too.. I just like the feel of the FF games... its what I was raised on and what is familiar :)

Someday soon my friends, this ride will come to and end, and we can't just get in line again.

I have to say I will probably be checking this game out as well. Been looking for an MMO to fill the void since I quit FFXI. Been playing WoW for a couple months is fun but just isn't the same.

I'll probably pick it up... then waste another 4-5 years of my free time and money.

I'm surprised I still have an account here.

I'll probably give it a try. We should all choose a server on which to play when it's released.

Agreed. An old Midgard reunion in FFXIV would be cool, even if a bit short-lived (who knows). I hope Biglos and Legendknight (was that his name?) come back
