If it's such a problem you can just go past the threads / blist the person whining. Clearly with so many people "whining" about gilsellers, bots and all that junk it must be a real issue. Just because it doesn't affect you much doesn't mean others have it that easy too.

for one. tak... it effects us all. people that can't help complaining about being too lazy to make a difference shouldn't have a public forum. just play without your gear you want so bad if you're not gonna take time to do anything for it.

and for two. i don't buy gil.. i'm the original bot. how many other people have bot in their name?

Um you have no life do you? You should just play the game and shut up. Anyways I am tired of people complainig either way on this, making a point to tell others to shut up and they suck at the game is just pointless. Kind of makes me wonder how old you are. If your truely smart enough you will just shut up and end this.

I work full time, am currently working on turning a long distance relationship into a life-long one. And entertain two other hobbies besides this one, one of which includes preformance swordfighting. I have entirely TOO much going on. Please dont assume people do not have lives just because they have opinions.

Tofubot why would to tell other to shut up about complaining & youre doing the thing that you dispise but none the less...call me "Whiney" or "Complainer" whatever Im against all gil sellers & "BOTS" and will report, train, & counter spam or try to impead any and all Gil sellers or Bots...i.e.Mats, Maks, PSuukra and to many others to name b/c they are rude players who dont respect others or FFXI, not to mention that they are played by more than 4 or 5 people...

FYI it is against the rules to sell gil why ? if you dind know which i dout its b/c it lowers gil's value and makes our enconomy the worst in FFXI b/c Migard has the most "sellers" in FFXI..if you dindt already know that.

Lets not forget about how they have cornered the Sinper Ring Market & price gouge when ever they fell like it We all know the majority of Gil Sellers are from China or some other "Far-East" country ( not being racisit its just the truth ) and sell gil for a real life living b/c its a livable wage in thier country with multiple people playing thier character thru out the day staying logged on for more than 24hrs at a time.

ITS JUST WRONG AND AGAINST THE RULES and with me working a fulltime job and having a real life I hate the fact that I have to compete with Bots & Gil sellers who dont care about FFXI or the universe dont care about thier reputation or helping others..

B/C of these "sellers" it will take everyone IMO 20%-30% longer to get better gear & level thier Character so to me they ruin my personal expirence and I will be dammed if the run me away from the game I love & have been playing the FF franchise for over 10 years ! SOON THE REVOLUTION WILL BEGIN VIVA LA RESISTANCE !!! *Deep Breath From the Absurdity*

Despite all the whining and bit[/i]ching, we all still log in and play when we can don't we? Yeah, there's things wrong, but most of us are still here. If people are so discontent, they'd have jumped servers to Hades when given the chance or would have straight out quit.

That's not to say Gil sellers and the like aren't problems. But we all deal with them in our own ways. Most pretty much ignore them. My beef with them is that they constantly make people's jobs harder with their constant monopolizing of NMs. But I still buy whatever I want. Complaining about complainers is like a cow's opinion....it doesn't matter. We all just keep on keeping on, don't we?

wanting to do something and complaining about doing something constantly are 2 different things that accomplish the same goal.

doing something about it, then inspiring others to do the same, that's productive.

i don't understand continuing to play if you wanna keep going on about gil sellers ect. ad nausem.

also, there's better ways to get gil than farming and NM camping. farming should only be used to gather materials for crafting in my opinion. the only time i farm is for seeds. and nm camping is kinda an unfair practice as it is. if it was fair, all NM drops would be rare/ex, and people who camped them would be only the people who need them.

For the love of god, people, tofubot has a point. A coarse, brash, perhaps even rude point, but still a very valid point. There are a lot of things you can do in our game besides the things everyone bitches about.

Point the First:
It's a game. GAME. G-A-M-E. If you're not having fun doing it, you really need to find something else to do. Go take a dinner break, shut it down for the night, take a month off, quit altogether.

Point B:
So you're persistant/masochistic/"not a quitter"? Fine. But keep your bitching to yourself. You want to really fix things? Find a solution. Find an alternate means to your ends. Find a better way to do what you do. Lurk some forums. Research. Adapt. Invent.
No one cares if you have a mouse infestation, but they'll listen when you've built a better mousetrap.

Point #3:
What are you doing anyways? Why?
This isn't a race to 75. And if it is, you've already lost to everyone else there. Was Rank5 part of the story to you, or what you had to do to get your Airship License? Did you do quests to raise fame, or to do quests? How many NPCs have you laid eyes on, but never talked to? How many stone monuments have you read without trying to complete the Selbina Clay quest?
Have you ever played FFI - FFX to max your characters' levels instead of playing for the story? If not, then what makes you think FFXI would be any different?

you can still craft with rare/ex items.

once a person camps and gets their rare/ex drop it's no longer nessecary for them to camp it, so there you go.

also, it'll give people initiative again if they want the drop to get off their lazy ass and camp it instead

there's no easy solution... and there's definitly no solution if you're lazy and suck at this game, or don't want to make a time investment in a game that's not supposed to take a few days or months to "finish" it.

you don't beat this game, you experience it... get over it!

Hey your right...so since all this bitching is such a problem to YOU, just like gillsellers are to others, then you should take your own @#%^ing advice dumbass, and leave the forums, and if bitching/moaning is such a problem for you in game you should quit that too.
Also if you think that just because you were "voicing what needed to be said" that all the bitching/moaning/whining is gunna go away then you are just as ignorant as the people who think bitching is gunna change things with the gillsellers.
However one thing is against the rules of the game, another is not.
