Thanks for the heads up Maluenda, good to know I can count on you to pay attention for me :)

Still, the lack of any structure in that post is nearly unforgivable...

Second, once a thread has been derailed by me, old stuff should not be allowed back in without a direct quote.

I agree on both counts.

Keep in mind, however, that it's the guy's first post ever - takes some time to get to understand adult etiquette in forums. Cause... we need an adult sounding forum for our video game... oh ***** it, never mind. You know what I mean :P

Lack of situation reference (quote from a post) is not great but forgivable. The foul language however is not acceptable. That reminds me...which thread was discussing Lady-gardens?

On to more important things: What is the great Fire nation secret that is coming out in the Airbender movie?

i'd like to nominate Cooterbrown.

he's a 70RNG with proper subjobs, but this guy is just a prick. he thinks he's the best at everything he does. he never parties, so i don't know how he got to 70. he probably paid for a powerleveling service or something. he never answers tells and is always sitting around doing nothing.

he was ALWAYS online, though i haven't seen him in like a week.

Well, first they were going to leave it as a planet, but they would have had to make Ceres, some other distant objects, and my cousin's unsually large head planets too. So they reversed the decision and gave Pluto the boot!

wow...i'm out of the loop it seems too.

now there's only eight planets? after 29 years of being told there's nine, there's now eight....how ****** up is that?

what was the old acronym for the planets? all i can think of is math and directions:

Please
Excuse
My
Dear
Aunt
Sally

(order of operations: Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction)

and

Never
Eat
Sour
Watermelons

(directions: North, South, East, West)

neither i need to use, they're just stuck in my brain, taking up space....space that could be used to know that there's only eight ******* planets now

Alloutwar, wearing the KnightsofChaos LS pearl, and a friend wearing same pearl (forgot name).

Griefing of parties in Garlaige Citadel. Abuse of party members, and removal of all mobs from the xp area in the basement.

No apparent motive other than spite. Apparently this guy's 12 in RL. Ingame, he acted like a total Richard in public, in front of a crowd of folks trying to xp.

[edit - name being filtered, no idea why, putting part of it in italics removed filter]

Darkestdevil

A week or so ago, while levelling in Altepa, I had the misfortune of meeting this guy. For starters, he wore ridiculous gear, even if he was poor (Judging from his full Centurion's set and Sandy nationality, he wasn't exactly broke). Aside from his gear, his behavior makes him border line Lousy and Idiot. An example:

In Altepa Earth Elementals are common, sure enough one pops by our party, the mages cease casting and we did say to not cast in Party. Myself and Valnix were Ninjas, so we can bounce tank the Beetle. Everything goes well until he casts a spell, aggroing the elemental and one of our mages risks his life to heal him and is forced to zone.

Darkestdevil then gets offended when Valnix calls him an idiot and replys "Does it look like I give a ****?" "I dont really care if I die"

After we boot him and I comment on his gear (Miss-aholic) he finishes everything by /telling me "Oh yea by the way im a gm"

Then to finish it off he gets his Ls members Mourningstar and Tenasea to harass me over /tell.

So avoid this idiot if you can, it will save you grief, time, exp, and blacklist room. Below and Chatlog Screenshots, one of party one of /tell (excluding Mourningstar's /tells)

I'd actually say it looks like there are 3 people worthy of this board in that party, not just him. Yes, what he said made him look like a jerk and a rude player. I will probably avoid him for that alone. However, you and Valnix were also jerks by initiating all of that without trying to explain to him nicely what went wrong so that he could avoid doing it again. Maybe he didn't understand earlier when you told him not to cast - could have thought it was a temporary thing, for all I know.

Either way, calling someone a dumbass because they make a mistake is rude. Calling him a "gimp *** Dark Knight" and telling him to leave the party is unnecessary and unprovoked. From the screenshots you gave us, he didn't deserve either of those two comments at that point (though I agree he probably deserved them later XD). Unless he had been rude to you all before that incident, I'd say all 3 of you are at fault here.

He aggroed the same Ele back to back, first time he zoned, mages didn't heal him. Not to sound ignorent, but he knew they aggroed to casting, and I felt he provoked me when he endangered the lives of everyone in the party. Imagine if the team had to zone, we'd not have killed the beetle and possibly have a death or 2. The RDM lived, he (I think) lived too, but regardless, his recklessness nearly doomed the team.

I'm not saying he was justified in being a noob, all I was saying is that there were better ways of handling the situation than to resort to name calling, and thus I don't think he was solely at fault in the screenshots you posted.

Now, if he was being rude prior to that (when he alledgedly aggro'd the ele the first time), then I'd take that back and say that you were probably right in calling him a dumbass if you tried to help him and he continued to be ignorant.

But ya, maybe it's just me but I based on the screenshots you posted, you don't really make him look like the only jerk...

This guy invited me to join his party last night. Either he's flat-out dumb, or annoys so many people that he loses track of who they are.

I turned doen the invite, explained why in detail, then blacklisted him.

Growing up, my dad wore a bright orange hat with ear flaps, but only to shovel the driveway and cut down the Christmas tree. Now he has a rabbit fur one.

Not as creepy as the repressed memories of him mowing the lawn in his daisy dukes and black steel-toed work boots. Ask Madd about it. He and the kid across the street used to hide in the kid's garage until my dad was done. I have no idea why Madd ever wanted to date me.

So uh... If my dad were to play, I would list him here.

My dad plays counterstrike and halflife, and more recently invested in an xbox and gamecube. And um... thankfully never wore those embarassing types of clothing (or lack thereof) anywhere that I ever had to see him :P

My MOM on the other hand... -.-

Well let's just say, my dad set her up on MSN to keep in touch with me while I'm in Japan (he's cheap and doesn't like paying for her phone bills). She now types out full emails in the chat window, and can't figure out why I respond right away...

Loser of today: Speedie 38 (recently deleveled from 39) whm/rdm rank2

Had a bad feeling when he sent me a blind invite so I ignored it at first. After a few minutes he sent another blind invite and a few seconds later a /t. During the fight of the 3rd mob we faced it turned out the thf had pulled something a bit to high for us and things went badly. Paladin was a champ but eventually died and the whm shortly followed. After dying speedie hp'd and disbanded, ditching the party and people still desperately fighting on. At first I thought maybe speedie hp'd since he'd neglected to cast rr and would come back. When the loser disbanded though, his real intentions were clear.

The thf from that pt formed another ~15min or so later and invited the pld and myself back in together :). That was a fine pld, Newrose I think his name was. The whm we got only stayed a bit over an hour before she had to go (nice lady that did a fine job of whm-ing). She gave lots of notice that she would be going but didn't use auto-trans so I'm not sure the leader understood she'd be leaving and never got a replacement (or maybe none were available). About the time she was due to leave the blm dc'd. A nice guy (the blm) and good backup healer...but not the brightest bulb in the store. When he learns to MB, not nuke before sata is finished, and not over nuke so much he will be a fine member of the blm community.

depending on the tells i get i help people out. im serious. if i get a real nice and polite one ill usually help. i was somewhat busy but no nm run or xp party so busy can be bent and broken. he /telled me in the normal 'auto translator' way. i help people i know. so... ill just show you the sses.

http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b47/Zhanmadao/ffxi/img_0426.png

now normally if he would have been abit nicer about it... and more casual about it... i dont want to help and just 'xp xp lol' if you know what i mean. i like to talk. alot. i like interesting conversations. i dont want to stand there and swing at a mob and not say a single thing cept for [Congratulations!] and [Take care.] [See you again!] [Goodbye.] if you arent casual in the pms you probably dont want to talk during this.

this does NOT make him a lousy player. but i would not party with a guy like this.

i just took another ss of abit more of the conversation.

http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b47/Zhanmadao/ffxi/img_0428.png

I myself do not want someone like that hitting 75. the gilsellers i talk to are more interesting to deal with.

also learn some chinese. or have a friend hang over your back that knows chinese. its interesting. some of em have awesome storys. i mean ABSOLUTELY AWESOME storys.

did my name get on the 'pm this guy lol' list?

Some of you may have had a good experience pt'ing with this certain WHM (and her NIN friend) but I didn't have that experience with her unfortunately. Not once in my FFXI experience have I experienced this. The WHM's name is Tink.

It was a pt in Quicksands Cave and all was going well. To cut a long story short, the NIN disbanded. After a beetle was pulled and incoming to camp, the WHM decides that she had to go so disbanded without any prior warning. So there were the 4 of us (no mages) and 1 angry beetle which we had to zone. Running round the corner to zone, we spot the WHM & NIN in pt and was probably gonna tele.

Point is, I don't mind if people disband mid pt due to unforseen circumstances (heck I've had situations where I had to either AFK for about 15mins and I'd ask the pt if I should disband so they can get a new member or I stay on and we take a 15min break) but for god's sake, please just give a warning of your intentions and don't just disband pt after you see that there is an incoming mob -.-;....at least wait till we kill the mob before disbanding. To me, thats just plain inconsiderate towards other players.

I'm not ranting on about her skill as WHM, but more on her personality which I didn't like.

That's so cute! :D

Apollyon = worst PLD ever! I've partied with the dude a few times, all as my BLU. I think he's like six different people, or just has a lot of problems. First party with him he was a prick at first, but then I think one of his other personalities took over and he became a good guy. The next few parties I was in with him, he seemed like a completely different dude. He would constantly go afk, DURING A FIGHT, and then say "Oh sorry I said afk in LS". That was believable at first, but he kept saying it, and then he used the same excuse in subsequent parties.

The last party I was in with him he was effing slacking again, probably tending to his disorder or something, so i told him to do his job. He wasn't holding hate worth sh*t and he would go afk during battle, but his response was "you guys aren't dead, so I'm doing my job". Righttt, well after that we thought peace was established and pulled another mob. He then sat down from the get go, to like ***** us over or something. After we easily won without him, he demanded leader to boot me, and since leader didn't give it to him, he peaced out.

Long *** rant and the such, but I just don't like this dude. He seems like such a prick, and he's a pretty crappy PLD to boot. If you post here dude, sorry if this offends you but, step up. Jeeze.

Lol I partied with Apollyon a few days back seemed like a total *** hat. He went afk without saying anything too luckily someone had to leave and the party disbanded.

Oh.. and on the way to cape terrigan he lost sneak and aggrod about 20 crabs. I raised him and cast sneak on him but then he decided to follow me to where the spiders are (our RDM died down there for some reason) again he didn't say anything about sneak and died. After that I just tractored him all the way to the zone so the dumbass wouldnt kill himself again lol

He said a few not nice things to me when he died (both times) although that's probably because I said I wasnt gonna heal him (Because I'd get myself killed uc?)
