BOTH of them have been placed on my eternal /blist for one reason alone...
Accusing ppl (namely me)publicly in game over and over of buying gil, and they dont even know me!
I have played since N/A release, which is only shy 5 months of 2 years total, have 3 other characters, one being a 45THF, cuz I adore farming, and another 52 RDM for BCNMing.
Japanese players had played for a year before us NA's were able to play the game, wonder if they go around accusing those rich JPN players of buying gil?
Ppl who accuse ppl with lies, publicly humiliate and harrase ppl, I no longer want to play with.
On a side note, IF it was not against SE's TOS, and making gil was no longer fun to me in game, guess what? That's right, I WOULD BUY GIL!!!
Till the above happens, all you accusers, harrasers, liars and finger pointers can join them on my /blist and NEVER MAKE GIL with me! =P

Why is it so nerve racking for someone to say "I think you bu gil" that you immdiately /blist them. Your gear must be pretty pricey for 2 people to accuse you of gilbuying, especially since Emp hairpin and Leaping Boots are a norm now.

I think we've probably all used a cheat code in a game. And how much faster did that game get boring and did we try to find ways to screw with it when we did have all the money in the world? Personally, games got boring for me if I cheated my way through.
I see all these people 'bored' in Jeuno, making casinos and making up games of hide and seek because 'they have nothing better to do,' and I think, wow, you must have done every quest, every mission, gotten every piece of equipment, and be LV 75 in all jobs then, if you actually have nothing better to do in FFXI than sit on your ass and whine.
Not that I would accuse them of gilbuying, because I'm sure most of them just don't want to get off their asses to actually make the effort to do anything else but whine, but it seems to me that if you powerlevel your way through the game, buy all your gil, and get everything you want, that you're going to get bored with actually playing the game and start to look for ways to spice it up, like, for example, scamming people and causing HNMLS drama, that sort of thing.
I'm sure there are actually gilbuyers out there that are perfectly respectable? citizens of Vana'diel and enjoy the game for what it is. I just don't think that the majority probably are.

i can relate to the first poster. Though i know vicodin and am friends with him, there has been someone recently who accused me of buying gil out of the blue and for no reason.

sent me a tell 2 days ago, and wasnt even where i was in jeuno (he/she was in bibiki bay) and said "8/ yeah you guy gil". Of course i was upset and asked why on earth someone would just send me a tell out of the blue like that accusing me of something like that. The reply was "well because u are and everyone knows it."
I was kind of puzzled by who everyone was so i asked who and what proof he had and he told me that everyone was his "HNMLS" and the proof was he "had been monitoring my spending habbits at the ah" and said most of them know i am and refuse to have me in their LS "come on a level 70 job cant afford gear like that". I explained the fact that my wife and i help eachother make our gil and we have spent a lot of time making gil and farming etc. I have been playing for almost 2 years (2 months after the NA pc release) and if i was really a gil buyer youd think id be at 75 in at least 1 job if not 2 by now.
I do have nice gear but ive worked my ass off for all the gear i have and i found my own way of making gil to keep my wife and i happy. There has also been people in our LS that have come to visit my wife and i in real life, and i think if they have seen us in real life and know were not gil buyers then who the hell is he to say anything about me? Anyway this discussion waged on for a while till i had enough and b-listed him. It gets to be a bit much if you even tell the person how you make the majority of your gil and can show them AH proof of it, and they still say something.
Anyway later that day i see him in lower jeuno die and fall to level 72 RDM. I asked someone in my LS what happened and apparently the moron was poisoned and converted while poisoned. I go to check him cuz i personally think its VERY funny and he has the EXPENSIVE rdm gear and this is his first job to the 70s and he hasnt been playing as long as i have. The pot calling the kettle black is awesome, plus hes stupid. At first i was mad the whole day but after seeing that it did the opposite and made my day. ^^

A few months ago, I was in a party with Xyn. She couldnt keep hate, and she was rude to all the party members. This was not only my opinion, but the other people in the party as well, who were talking to me in /tells. She would constantly say something like "WTF ARE YOU DOING???" when someone would miss a WS. Not my concern, cause I was just the smn. But it was annoying, and embarrasing. Mostly because 2 of the players were Japanese, and had no clue as to what she was yelling about, only that she was using Caps, and using their names, with a WTF at the end.
I got sick of it. I said, in party, "Im sorry, this is not my type of party. Too much stress and yelling. Im going to go. Take Care". And I left.
For the next WEEK, Xyn was CONSTANTLY sending me tells, asking what my problem is, defending her rudeness in party, and basically telling me Im an idiot if I dont like her way of doing things.
We go on and on. I give it up.
Next week, I see her sitting in Lower Jeuno. I see her sitting there a lot. I notice that she is rank 5. I remember how poorly she played. And I notice that she has O Kotes, Haste Boots, a Jujitsu Gi, the touque, name of which slips my mind, that is a few mil, and a belt that is a mil. On top of that, she has not one, but 2 Sai's, an Emp. Hairpin, and a few other things.
Total? About 10mil.
How does a bad player of rank 5 get these things? So I ask her. Well, she says she "Farms" them. I never see her leave Jeuno, but aparently she farms enough, in her OWN words, at lvl 50, to make 1mil a week, EASY she says.
Hmm.
Well, I let it go. I accuse her, but I let it go. Every once in a while, I will point at her and say gil buyer!. lol.
Today, after not hearing from her (she "blisted" me, she said)
A girl by the name of Kirstejon sends me a /tell. Tells me that Xyn told her that I buy gil, and to ask me for some. Yet again, Xyn is contacting ME, to bother me.

I garden elemental ores, NOT team up with little kids to be ripped off in BCNM or ponder what they do in HNMLS, I simply stay to myself and make my OWN gil for 2 YEARS now.(yeah, that is starving for attention, by STAYING TO MYSELF TO MAKE GIL... /sigh)
If you can't do the math of how much gil elemental ores + farming to synth stuff makes, then you are playing the wrong game.(and if you cant THINK of ways ppl ,after playing 2 years, can actually BECOME rich in this game legally, I feel sorry for you)

A friend of mine in-game just sent me a screen shot of Xyn asking him to insult me and be mean to me.
Xyn also said that she would buy gil "if it wasnt against the rules", just like she said it up above.
lol so, the only thing stopping Xyn from doing it is it being "against the rules"? Then why would it bother you so much if someone thinks you do buy gil? And why would a stupid video game "rule" stop you from doing it? You expect me to believe that you care so much about the rules of this video game that you would stop yourself from buying?
I think that we can all figure out why Xyn is so adamant about saying she doesnt buy gil. Why it bothers her SO much when someone says it. Think about it.

1.) What I care about is the fact that this thread keeps coming up with nothing intelligent added to it.
2.) If you cared so much you would just stop posting because you're making yourself look worse.
3.) Do what you did before. Black list them and move on. By making this thread and Vicoden actually showing up to defend himself as well, you SCREAMING IN CAPITALS EVERY THREE SECONDS AT EVERYBODY is not going to make anyone agree with you or want to take your side.

If you really do care about your image make your CALM statement and move on. It's just a game, nobody impacts you in real life. Moreso you can black list everybody that hurts you in game and never have to deal with it again.. That is, unless you enjoy the drama.
