Limit Break 10Follow

#1 Oct 08 2012 at 3:48 PM Rating: Decent
Hi folks,

I am needing some help in completing the last level cap (to get from 95 to 99). I have done some shouts, had a chance a few weeks ago, but opted to complete the Atma (Atma of the Razed Ruins) NM (IronClad).

I am now really needing to complete this Limit Break. I am a returning player (after a 2.5 year layoff) and would greatly appreciate your help.

Please send me a PM here or /tell online. I am usually online around 730pm est.

Thanks

Boii

I'm Eastern time also.

Hi Artemas, I am Boi from Garuda.. I had to change my name to Boii when I came back online in late Aug.

I am would appreciate any help you could offer. I am not quite sure of any job requirements for this, I have found no real strategy or anything. So any help you or any of your friends could help would be great.

Well, first and foremost, make sure you have an Olde Rarab Tail. This inflicts terror status on the NM and prevents action for a good while (1 min, I think) Used to be he ran around like a headless chicken too but they fixed that in one patch.

Some setups I've seen/read about call for pet jobs, but really, any competent and decent setup (which ideally would include a healer, as this taru hits HARD and can hit with any H2H weaponskill, up to and including Victory Smite, and can also self-skillchain) will do.

So Magicalsquirrel,

are you saying that I will need a full party? Can this not be low manned? I have a lvl 88 bst at the moment, guy in my LS has bst @ 99, problem is, there are only two of us in this LS and he hadn't been online in about 3 weeks, lol. Probably time to search for a different LS, lol.

Any further recommendations from you or others would be appreciated.

A party of blms or any dd type party can do it, if a tail is used.

I'm on now, if you are.

Not online at the moment, sitting in my last meeting of the day.

Should be home in the next 30 min. I don't have that tail, missing one of the three items to give to the dude in Bastok.

If it's really necessary then I will just have to wait and get it before doing this..

Not entirely sure a full party is required, but a couple good DDs and a healer would be ideal. Again, you can probably get a couple BSTs and a healer of some sort and you're good.

With a rarab tail, you can zerg this really quickly. There are a few strategies I know of, but the one I went with and worked best was a rarab tail + MNK 2hour zerg.

I'm currently studying for midterms the next 2 weeks, but I'm online every now and then. When you do plan to do it, give me a tell if I'm on. I've got BST and MNK.

There was another person shouting in Port J for this last night, so I switched to PLD/WAR to tank it (not that a tank was really necessary). Boii was in that group, and we ended up zerging it after someone used the tail.

Ralrra, thanks for helping last night. It was certainly a very quick fight.. thinking less than 1 minute 30 seconds...

Now I get to blast up to 99 on all these staged jobs I have and then finish up my empy Katana...
