About how many rated excellent post do you think Rog would need to be a scholar again?

Also it seems that RDD has a rate down stalker.

Probably 100-200. 23k posts makes it pretty hard to raise my karma by even .01.

Kaup, until you prove me otherwise I will always picture you as the Ubernerd from the WoW South Park episode. Sitting there alone eating your big bag of chips getting crumbs all over your large belly.

I'm having serious issues with FFXIV. It keeps crashing immediately when I try to launch it.

Yay.

Yes all the angry RDM's are mad because I don't think RDM needs a melee buff, and think it has a purpose. So I have a flock of angry hyrists, and A leaky bars, and lolsaevels and crap like that following me

Well, it the regular launch was today (unless you live in Japan). That could be affecting it, as well the maintenance that took place this morning.

Nah, it was client side. At first, I thought it was driver issues, but it turned into a huge mess because I forgot to uninstall the beta. Then I forgot to delete the leftover files in the beta directory. Reboot. Then I needed to uninstall the retail version, then delete those files. Reboot. Install retail. Etc. etc.

There were more steps involved, but it was so frustrating that I'd rather not talk about it. I'll just say that I was considering a reformat as a last ditch effort.

Wow... that's just eerie. My PC is dead as well. I woke up this morning and my computer wouldn't boot up. It wont even post BIOS.

I'm thinking that my motherboard is fried, but to be safe I dropped it off at the computer shop for a diagnostic. Boy, those people hate home-built rigs. Smiley: laugh If it's cheap/easy like mobo or PSU I'll fix it back up in no time. If it's processor, it just isn't worth replacing. I built the thing 4 years ago and it's getting outdated, so if that's the case I'll just have to build a new one.

At least it was good timing. I'm taking off tomorrow for a week or so to help with harvest.

I hope by harvest you mean luring all the new college girls back to a hotel during the first real week of the fall term.

That's not harvest. That's domesticated beaver hunting.

It was outdated 3 years ago, it was just too sturdy (or stubborn) to quit. :P

Smiley: laugh Well, in it's defense it was pretty toop-notch for quite a while. It's an Athlon 64x2, which stayed strong for a good few years. Quad-core processors are really only good for severe multi-tasking, and tended to have lower core speed than dual-cores. It's really just been in the last year or so that processors and bus speeds have made some huge jumps in technology. Since building it I've only upgraded the system by packing in a more RAM and a better video card.

Speaking of which: now that's a technology that nobody can hope to keep up with. Vidcards just keep getting more and more unreal every year. The Geforce 9800 GTX I put in about 2 years ago is absolutely prehistoric compared to cards now.
