My avatar is of a character from the show. It's a little robot named GIR who is so overly silly and stupid you can't help but love him.
Here's the episode that I used for the avatar. Though it's not one of my favorite episodes, it's still good all the same, and any of them that has a decent bit of GIR in it is still a winner.

I've heard so many different rumors as to why he canceled it, one of which was children that were fans of the cartoon, in trying to find more of his work, and they were stumbling onto Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, which is something he didn't want. I've also heard it was a decision on Nickelodeon's part, that it was just a matter of the production of the show being over-budget and that the ratings were going down.

For the less informed:
GIR was put together with random parts of the Standard issue Information Retrieval unit ('SIR' for short) and he was filled with random junk by The Almighty Tallest (the rulers of Zim's home planet, where social rank is ruled by height). They named him GIR to appease Zim (Zim is very short, and therefore dismissed as an Invader) and sent him to a planet where it was thought there was no intelligent life... aka Earth. Thus, the storyline of the cartoon.
GIR's name serves him well since his costume on Earth is a green dog outfit, as you can well see from Vlor's avatar. GIR loves bacon and piggies and pancakes.

Just an FYI, because when I recognized it I laughed, but the voice of the main bad guy on the new Spyro Skylanders game is Richard Steven Horvitz, who was Zim. It's not even subtle. Oh, and Patrick Warburton is in it as well, because he's in everything animated in the past ten years and everything else for the foreseeable future.

I'm having some of the guys from work over to nerd out on the Wii and eat pizza. I think my wife's baking cookies, too. Tomorrow, I'll probably finish the Windurst rank missions, switch to San d'Oria and ask/bribe/whine to one or two of my LSes to get me Creed seals.
