My eyes are buggy from all the constant color changes! @.@ Grats to MineTofu on green! It looks hawt on you! Grats to Rog on yellow, but yeah, its a tough color for anyone to pull off and look good in.

Dana had me test this for him a long time ago in IRC one night. We just went through and used a bunch of Benny's (HB's) posts since his don't count anyway. At the time it was 2 months, but it may have been shortened since then?

I'm pretty happy with red, since I'm a filthy ginger anyhow and can't change that either. All of my "Jernal" posts screwed me, but I'm not sure how to figure out how many of my posts are actually in it.

I want to play FFXI. Smiley: frown

Technically, I guess I could... but the macros on my laptop are months old, and I'm far too lazy to fix them just to play for the 12 hours before I have to go be a farmboy for a week again.

Eh, couple times when I had to retype macros helped streamline them a bit.

The last time i redid my macros, i changed all the numbers to binary, and left no more than 1-2 letter to identify each spell. Which of course means i have "p" used for parsimony, penury, paralyze, and p10 uses for both poison2, and para2, etc. It's pretty silly really.

my macros consist of

open ability menu/spell menu select spell the end. (I lost all mine in a reinstall recently so have been lazy with them) only macros Ive made switch from TP to WS sets, I am lazy and use spellcast now for everything else.

I constantly revamp my macros. It seems that I get some obscure piece of gear every week that is just barely situational, so I have to squeeze it in somewhere.

I should quit being so picky about 1 MND here or 1 AGI there... then I wouldn't have to carry around 75+ pieces of gear for each job/situation.

Also, I don't use Spellcast so instead of just changing a gearset I have to sort though a few folders of .txt files to put in a new piece of gear (which I guess only takes <1 min anyways). I'll most likely switch over to Spellcast when I do my next HDD cleaning and get rid of this POS unstable WinXP x64 which crashes SC on load. Smiley: frown

Ya I gave up on minmaxing a long time ago when I realized I had 3-4 items per slot that varied by 1 stat one way or the other.

EX a Ring with INT 4 and MND 4 but Id also have 2 rings with INT 5 and MND 5. It got to be stupid, now I carry a 1200MP convert set, a nuke set, my MND/INT set, some Skill Gear for nukes/enfeebs, and a TP and WS set, sit at 75/80 and am ready for anything. I don't even miss the .001% more potent slows or the 1 extra HP, or 1 Extra DMG my nukes do!.

I love how you don't mention a single useful thing you get out of higher stats.

I think i did. I personally think itemizing for 1 MND or 1INT is redundant. The gains you get are so minimal it isn't even worth the INV -X. But thats my opinion. Some stats I weigh a little heavier like MAB. But it still isn't enough to get me on the SoA train. My min/max days are over, my NM hunting days are over, from now on its grind to cap then just do stupid random stuff or afk in Port J.

Well you didn't. Ignoring the fact that you can't get .001% slow (minimum you can add is 1/1024, ie ~.1%), it's not useful to add more, unless you're getting a lot of it. It's especially useless now with saboteur, because slow caps at 100%, so you only need a decent nq mnd build to cap it with elegy, since you get so much free mnd in abyssea. Hp, is useless, and shouldn't need to be explained. Not sure why you even mentioned it. Nuke damage is the only thing you mentioned that even almost matters, but even then, it still doesn't unless you're adding more than just 1 extra damage.

So there is nothing useful about adding any of that ****......so why are we talking about it?

Because you brought it up, in an effort to make minmaxxing seem pointless. I responded, because you're retarded. Also because i have no self control, and can't ignore trolls.

Also chewy brought it up when he said this

Quote:

To which I replied how I stopped worrying about 1 extra INT/MND here or there because of the redundancy involved with increasing by 1-2 points.

Rating up a nuked post enough times will make it not nuked. This is easily seen in journals, obviously. Nuking seems to just rate a post -45 (or so). Again, an easy way to see this is by rating yourself up repeatedly, and then trying to nuke the post: it won't disappear the first (few) time(s), but just lower the score.

Unfortunately i think it may not work outside journals, as i've already had a number of people try, and it's still nuked (around 5ish i think, and considering it was rated a few times before being nuked, i don't think it should take that many). Which is unexpected, because earlier i nuked one of my posts, then rated it up 7 times, and had rdd rate it up, and he was able to unnuke it, so ijdk. I guess if it doesn't work after a few more people try, then we'll have an answer.

That would explain why I couldn't figure out which post I was rating up.

Wow, what happened here?

I hope Rog got scholar in this thread :o Congrats though.

I finally got Serpentes Sabots yesterday, 1/12 in the middle of cooking for Thanksgiving (I'm in Canada), the abyssite didn't tier up, and then killed Brooder again today to get a friend of mine his own pair. Was pretty awesom. Gonna solo Ruminator out of boredome eventually.

Edited, Oct 12th 2010 10:21pm by Shiala because I can't pay attention long enough to spell correctly.
