Starting to really loathe Krabkatoa. Killed him 20+ times now, three of which (at most) had a shadow but didn't drop ring. At least it's a quick and easy solo, but even that gets boring after a while...

Rog, do you have any idea how high karma has to be to be autorated to excellent? I was there for about 5 days until I decided to start posting in the Drg forum a little more. Those A-holes rate down EVERYTHING. You cant even post an accomplishment without it getting rated down.

holy crap over a whole day without a post WTF!

Just soloed Despot on my wifes 84 rdm. While I realize this is an easy solo now its my first "real" rdm solo so I am excited. I took it incrdibly cautious so I could have killed it way faster. It mainly has increased my confidence in being able to do some other solos. Her rdm is unmeritted and underskilled (223 elemental and 285 enfeebling atm) so im sure once she finally gets some time to get skilled up and some merits it will be even easier to accomplish these solos.

Damn it Rog I knew you were going to say something like that. Cant someone just be happy they did something completely new? I realize this is not an accomplishment for most rdms. But I am not a rdm, it is my wifes char so I dont play it very often. This is why I at least feel some sense of accomplishment. I will get better, I swear.

Yes, while I realize that it was/is easy. I had never done it before. Thus there is the element of unknown(not knowing how long bind/grav last or if they will get resisted, not knowing if nukes will be resisted, etc.). I was never near death the entire time. All I was saying is that the first time you ever try something, you are going to be a little nervous, and hopefully you get a little sense of accomplishment from it. You have been soloing things on rdm for years, you probably dont feel this at all anymore. For you it is follow the normal steps to achieve your goal. For me, I havent tried these steps before so while easy, its new and exciting. You honestly felt no sense of accomplishment the first time you soloed something that wasnt a guaranteed win?

It's exactly like anything you do in life. The first time you ever pick up an instrument you feel good by just making a clean note, while later you dont even think about it as you are cruising from song to song.

There are things that can go wrong on this solo and lead to death. I felt good that I didnt allow that to happen.
