Sooo...I just got back from Walt Disney World (the one near Orlando, FL) and OMG I LOVE DISNEY!!
But I mean who doesn't, right? So it was a 4 day vacation at the Grand Floridian Resort&Spa and I couldn't say enough good things about the trip.
The best part?? Lodging and park admission were paid for, (parents are great ^.^) so I booked the flight and paid for gifts and food basically. Its just as amazing and magical and wonderful as I remember it from all those years ago
First day was Animal kingdom and it was neat to see the asia theme and the africa theme but the one part I like the most was the safari ride in africa. Went on the Expedition everest roller coaster that was good got some good loops and drops and stuff, I'd call it original ^.^. Other than that nothing really stood out for me. Oh yea the tree of life is pretty neat, really big tree. got some good pics but gata get them from the camera to the computer ^.^
Ok day 2 was Disney's hollywood studios and this place was really cool too...unfortunatly I didn't get to hit all the roller coasters cuz the lines were 50-65 min and I had the family with me with the little kids so we did more of that stuff. They have the High school musical 3 production (where the cast members come out and sing and dance) and that was cool to watch. Got some pics with characters and got some autographs for the kids so that was fun.
Day 3 was Epcot and we all know about the signature huge golf ball that's at the entrace to this park. Well they were doing some kind of maintance when we got there so we skipped that ride and went over to the different countries. Did lunch in America and supriseingly the food was pretty good. Got fried dough which was good (too much powdered sugar for my liking) that was the day my dad made it out and he headed in a bit early. We also did the fast pass for the test track ride. Fast pass is worth it for most rides so look into doing that for the popular ones.
Lastly day 4 was the great, and wonderful Magic Kingdom! This I have to say is my favorite park. Part of the group headed out earlier than me and as soon as I could I headed over to try to catch up with them but I never found them so Magic Kingdom was all by myself (which I enjoyed to some extent) I didn't do any roller coasters there I only did the shows...so there's the haunted mansion which is like the "Its a small world" ride only in a haunted mansion with ghosts and stuff like that, pretty cool probably scary for the littler ones. Then I did the show where you're sitting in a theatre and Mickey Mouse is suppose to conduct a symphony but donald gets a hold of the magic hat and the crazyness ensues...btw its in 3D so that makes it pretty cool. One of my fav shows was the monsters Inc Laugh floor its an interactive show where the animated characters talk to the audiance, pretty funny (make sure you fill up that laugh canister)
Also at magic kingdom is "Its a small world" ride where you float down a river and listen to "Its a small world after all" in a bunch of different languages and they have the dolls dancing around so thats a classic if you've never seen it. Another show I went to was the Stitch (from lilo & stitch show) monster escape show (I forget the actually name) if you or your kids like stitch a lot this is a great show to go to.
Every night before the parks close they have fireworks that launch from Cinderellas castle in Magic Kingdom and its a great show. The parades are really neat, everything is just awsome :D sorry if this is long but I could keep going it was that great
Anyhow does anyone else have a Disney World/Land vacation report?
