It's Been One WeekFollow

#1 Sep 29 2009 at 5:35 AM Rating: Decent
Since you tackled me. I still got the rug burns on both my knees.

One week without a single post on the Lakshmi boards. We need something. Surely, someone scammed someone or was an ***. Help me out, I'm at work and I can't take this complete lack of Lakshmi drama.

Well what do you know? Shortly after posting this, Holman himself shows up. No need to hang out here, let's see what Mr. Holman has to say.

Drama enough?

Oh? Holman was banned from Alla? That kinda sucks actually.

The fun continues on FFXIAH. It got derailed by Veggeto, who absolutly hates me for whatever reason. This guy will pop up wherever I am.

Cool. Cute kid.

My son just turned one a few weeks ago. He's a Monk though, and was telling me he could whoop your nephew in Ballista.

Well technically not for very long unless he is holding on to something.

If anyone still cares about this Holman vs Disguise thing, I talked to Disguise last night. Apparantly, what happened was he put something in his mule's bazaar at a much higher price than it was worth and sometime during the night when Disguise wasn't in-game, Detox bought it. I'm not sure what item it was, but people do this all the time with dynamis currency. I don't really agree with it, but GMs say its just buyer beware.

Disguise claims he would have given the gil back buy Deetox starated telling him that he hopes his family dies to cancer, so he decided not to.

Get your facts straight. That is all.

You may contact me in-game if you want to know who my source for the information was. They came to me unsolicited to tell me what had been going on. I have no reason to doubt the honesty of this person, but I would rather not bring their name up in forum drama.

You're defending someone who steals from others blatantly.

Edit-

The facts as I know them:
1. Detox did not know that Lovegod was Disguise's mule until he was told by someone who knew Disguise.
2. This all happened real-time. My source witnessed Disguise gloating after he managed to cheat Detox.
3. GMs returned 22million to Detox out of the original 27.
4. Therefore, clearly a breach of ToS.
5. Holman was NOT the source for this information. He is only repeating what someone else told him (they also spoke to me independently), and even told to several other people in the linkshell.

If that's true, post the screenshots. Holman mentioned no FFXIAH that he has screenshots but would only post them on your linkshell's website, and the general public may not see them. This seemed very fishy to me.

So for now it is Holman and your word versus Disguise. No offense to you, because I don't know you personally, but at this moment I put much more stock in Disguise's word. Again, just post the screenshots Holman has and this won't be debatable.

Nope, not clearly a breach of ToS. Just because GMs step in to do something doesn't mean someone violated the ToS. Players get stuck under bridges, and GMs have to step in to help them. Is that a clear indication that the ToS was breached? No.

Why would a GM return the gil if Disguise didn't do anything wrong? Pretty clear something went down that wasn't legit.
#23 Oct 02 2009 at 8:23 AM Rating: Decent
It's nothing but he said / he said at this point. Even the GM giving gil back is just one side of the story. But who knows, GMs do odd things sometimes. Maybe they counted it as his one-time drop item type of thing.

They claim to have screenshots of all this, so if it is legit I assume they will be posted.

Hey Vawn: If you don't like how people reply to your posts, you can always just report the thread and ask for a lock.

He was just joking. That's what Ezzelin did last time after Holman and Miracles were embarassing themselves and their linkshell.
