Promyvions (Completed)Follow

After the success of the RoZ run put together on Alla last weekend, I decided to help a few friends get through the first set of CoP hurdles.

TONIGHT starting at 6:00pm EST 7:00pm EST, we'll be going for a full run of the three Promyvion zones to get Tavnazia access. NOTE: The first climb will start at 7 EST, please be on earlier if you need time to get animas and get to the crag.

If we have more than a full party, all the better as we can climb as a group and split into balanced parties for the fights.

Requirements: Some level 30 job (and willingness to go on another if requested) with appropriate (not +1 uber-expensive) gear, synced or otherwise. Echo drops for mages, eye drops for melees, a poison pot or 2, and anima. Everyone that is completing the boss fights should have a full set of anima (3) and a set of the three recollections to make a second set.

Read up on the fights and have a general idea of what to expect if you've never done these before. There's plenty of information on how these battles work and how to farm anima between alla and the wiki, so I'll leave it at that.

Please post if you are interested, including jobs you have (and which, if any, you would prefer to come as) for the event as well as which (if any) of the promyvions you have cleared already. If you have any friends willing to come along that have completed the missions, please ask, as a few extra bodies makes filling parties for the bosses much easier.

Looking over the list, this will be our roster. For the boss fights, the top 5 listed and whichever WHM needs that spire will be going in. If someone is missing, we'll make last minute adjustments.

If you do not go in to the boss fights and you've already farmed up the animas, as I have, please help speed the run along by bringing them to trade to those that are fighting the bosses. I'm sure they'd be willing to mail you back the extra anima that they have in their mailboxes/mules after the run.

I know that gear syncs, but a full party of 6 in all sync'd gear is going to be pretty well below the assumed stats at level 30. Some gear syncs well, others not so much.

While I know that Promies have been repeatedly nerfed since the first few weeks when I first did them, I always found it helpful to have everyone come at least somewhat prepared, especially in a situation where we're putting this together on the boards and not in a LS.

Full +1 level 30 gear is a waste, but having a tank show up in haub and 2 woodsman rings won't do too well either (no positive stats and like -30 evasion). Appropriate gear simply means no negative stats and preferrably something that at least has some impact at that level.

As far as 2-5 is concerned, I'll see where interest is after the Promyvions are done and see if people want to continue through some more CoP missions, but at this point, I'm not planning this to be a full CoP static.

Oouuu count me in! I can come SAM, NIN, WAR, MNK, or DNC, though DNC is the only one I have geared up for that level range at the moment with a bunch of HQ stuff. I don't really know what works best in Promyvion, so let me know which of the jobs you'd like me to come as so that I can gear up beforehand.

I would agree that any NIN considering going to 30 cap promies might as well come WAR. I would also say for the purpose of the BC fight that a DNC should come with a TP wing or they could potentially be just as ineffective.

I've never gone as Sam/dnc to promy battle but whenever I farm recollections for anima that is my job combo of choice. I'd be interested in seeing that combination through the whole mission. Lastly, I don't know if I'll be on, if I am then I'll see you in linkshell and offer to help climb if nothing else is going on. I usually go RNG and I think all my equip is still in my MH, but I haven't geared up RNG in forever. I would suggest doing the ENM's since your going to climb anyway. Just don't lose the ENM without reraise or anything silly like that! :D

Like Xauna, I'm on aquaducks, so I don't need prommy. But I still don't mind helping out, if you need me! I'm not usually free Thursday, but this one I am.

Sounds good. If anyone else is interested in continuing CoP after the Minotaur run, I'm definitely up for it. There's just so much stuff I need for SAM through CoP that I've put aside forever.

I have a character that needs those. I can come blm/whm. Hit me up if you are interested.

UPDATE: Talking to a couple people, it looks like 7 EST would be a better starting time. I ask that if you aren't going to be on before 7 that you have your gear, anima, meds, etc. ready and be at the Holla crag.

People that are on a bit earlier can meet up as we move towards Holla to start the event.

We'll be going Holla -> Mea -> Dem for the run.
