What is the most embarrasing lapsus you've done in ffxi (or through skype/ventrilo). I'm not talking about regular MTs where you said something that was aimed at someone specific but said it in /l.
Something you said that didn't quite turn out the way you wanted...

Not long ago while farming in sky as MNK with my linkshell, a young LS asked our help to come kill their Kirin. I was on skype with a few people from the LS when I said "Well.. I could come but I'm not on a DD job, I'm on MNK" About 4 people in the conversation were career MNKs.. yeah I got flamed before I even got to explain my thoughts (I think they're still mad)

Hmmm. I can think of one (extremely minor) thing that sticks out...
I don't remember what I was doing, but I was chatting in my social linkshell whilst spamming my Friends List using /flist waiting to see if someone I knew was coming on. (We'd scheduled an event.)
Somehow, I managed to type: /fist in LS chat. Everyone assumed the worst.
Luckily, I have a couple of very "understanding" friends. I think that's the right word...

Wait... So what exactly was your thought process for that statement?
That I was /nin and since they we low on all job (including mages), there was a high chance Kirin wasn't going to be debuffed properly, so my sam would have been a better choice for a DD job.

Mnk is a DD job? and here I've been trying to invite them as healers all along. Wow, I really screwed that one up.

Trying to find a replacement for myself for a Bibiki Bay party a few years ago, I sent /tells to every DD in sight. Not many were seeking and it was a bad time, so many replied with apologies and explanations as to why they couldn't... except for a JP who simply said (English) (No thanks.) In attempting to explain to a friend what was going on, I said something like "Sorry man, all the NAs are busy and all the JPs are too damned xenophobic."
