The title says it all, I been missing this for a loooong time and need to get it done, I can come as alot of diff. jobs if that helps.
So if anyone out there needs this or is planning this final boss fight, I'm very intrested. My ingame name is Wutang 75pld,nin,sam,brd,war. I am off this week so I should be able to make any time frame, provided i can keep the GF busy.^^

Crap no takers yet... I think most people dont actually know they might need to actually complete the ZM's to do fun stuff later on like Storms of fate and Apoc Nigh to get thier Ethereal Earrings and such, wich is my actual goal.
Fyn Id love to hear how you dou'd this, I'll try anything once.^^

A lot of people I know are still on Divine Might, or don't have CoP finished, so they're not at the point to worry about this mission yet >_>

Anyway, I was RDM/NIN, he was PLD/NIN. The first phase of the fight is mainly just a long slugfest for the PLD, and a repeated sleepfest (on the Orbitals) for the RDM. Only thing to watch out for is the Exoplates' Phase Shifts, which happen at every third of its life and become progressively more damaging. Keep a close watch at its HP and make sure you each have fresh shadows up before it uses the move.

Second phase is harder because there's no real way to choreograph it; it will always happen differently; Eald hits like Hundred Fists here and has nasty TP moves in this phase. Best thing to do is have the PLD keep Sentinel and Invincible ready for this phase (Eald only casts AMs on the 1st phase, so you're not going to need either of these at the end of the 1st phase fight), and have RDM whip out Chainspell nuke. It should go quick, but won't always go your way (I had to do 2 tries before I won this)

Drats, I'm only on zm14 atm and desperately need to get it done. A 75 THF w/o an Suppa makes for a sad, sad THF indeed. <Help me out!>

Finally finished this pesky mission, won as sam/nin x2 and rdm/blm was very easy if done carefully, we actually had a smn with us but died 2 seconds into the fight so i dont really count his input lol. I can totally see people dou'ing this and maybe even solo as a badass rdm/nin.

Sus, we need to get us past zm14. I've been stuck on that goddamned fight for like, 2 years now...

And yes, I'm aware that I could complete it by fighting the arkangels one-at-a-time, but I'd rather do it by doing DM, so I can get me a spiffy earring while I'm at it!

Even though I've never done it that way myself, it seems to me like the easiest "general" setup to make nowadays would be a supertank setup. The only real essentials you need to get are the PLD supertank (ideally /BLU?) and his supports (such as a RDM with Phalanx 2, at least one WHM for safety, can't think of anything else); the rest can pretty much be randomly thrown together because it's a hell of a lot easier to deal with one AA at a time rather than 3-4 of them being chaotically kited all over the damn place. Main thing to make sure of is that nobody uses pets, pet commands, or resting. It seems like it would be even easier to pull off nowadays with WHM's Cureskin, which essentially adds an extra 200 HP safety net to Cure 5.

The typical alternatives to a DM run seem to be a manaburn alliance (harder to throw together, possibly because BLMs don't really have much to gain from DM, plus not everyone knows that many BLMs to begin with) or hoping the people you pick up actually possess brains, which you'd think would be a requirement for living but FFXI seems to circumvent that somehow.
