Genorosity (sp?) is measured by the character of the individual. The question is how much character does Josm have to do the right thing?

Actually, that douche Galan used to be in our social ls DragonsForever before he got the boot from Deathfather for being a completely greedy @#%^. Story went as follows...

Galan joined our ls and was ALWAYS CONSTANTLY begging for us to help him get endgame/high-level gear for jobs (usually PLD) that he couldn't even wear. His highest job in-game at the time (and I am not joking...) was 25ish WHM. So he was 30-50 levels away from being able to use a lot of the gear he was asking us to help him camp, and to boot, he didn't even have the PLD job unlocked yet.

One item he was always begging for help on was a Joyeuse. Fast-forward a month or so and I was in SSG trying to pop Charybdis for a Joytoy for myself(as I had posted before, my previous luck with Charby was sh*t and I ended up losing 3-4 pops of the NM to various ls's over the years, 2 kills to SnD alone) on BST. After killing about an hours worth of ph's, there he was, Charybdis!

I call out to the ls for help and DF, and Wilheim respond that they can come on RDM's. I asked a buddy, Souvrin, and he agrees to come on NIN\DNC to help out.

As soon as Galan hears me start yelling for help for Charby, he starts in begging to come along and help kill it ONLY IF he gets to lot the Joyeuse. Ok here are the problems with that.

One, his highest job, as I stated before, was WHM 25ish.

Two, I camped and killed the PH's myself, and in my ls that meant you got first rights to the NM's drops. If you put in the hard work to pop the NM, then the ls respected that and let you have dibs on the drop(s).

I would have had ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM with Souvrin, Deathfather, or Wilheim lotting on the Joyeuse if they wanted, since THEY helped me kill the NM (but luckily they all had/didn't need a Joytoy at the time ^_^) because they actually HELPED me. But Galan, wanted to show up on WHM 25 stand-by and watch us kill the NM, and then get a chance to lot on Joyeuse, a weapon he couldn't use for 70 levels on a job he didn't even have UNLOCKED yet!

DF, the ls leader, told him not to bother coming because we OBVIOUSLY couldn't use him on WHM 25. He gets all pissy and starts throwing a tantrum in ls chat that we are being unfair to him and that he is entitled to a shot at lotting on Joytoy if he joins while we kill the NM. DF tells him to settle down but he keeps on and on until DF finally tells him to drop it or else. Well, he chose to rag on and on and DF ended up booting him from the ls.

Like I said, if he would have had a job that could have used the sword and would have had a job that he actually could have came on and helped us, I would have had no problem letting him lot on it. I don't think DF and I were wrong in not letting him lot, right? Oh well...

Anyways, I still hear stories through the ls and other friends of how he is still being a douche to others to this day and is still up to his old tricks.

BTW, to Souvrin, DF, and Wil, I know I told you at the time I REALLY appreciated the help you guys gave me to help me get my Joytoy, but here's another THANK YOU just in case you missed it the first go round!! ^_^

I've heard through the grapevine that apparently he has been "buying gil" to afford all that gear that he has amassed in only roughly 6 months of playtime. It may just be a rumor, but it is kinda suspicious that that he has like a 150+ million in gear and has only been playing a very, very short time.

If it is, in fact only a rumor, then I apologize in advance. Check him next time you see him and judge for yourself.

Well that's just swell, Galan happens to be in my sky linkshell and he allways manages to make an *** out of himself, in the latest incident he started screaming at a rdm for kiting Despot and wanted everyone to /tell said rdm that he sucked (he did die after a while and we got Despot but you shouldn't behave like that). I dunno how much longer the leaders are going to put up with his crap, he's allready on some of the members blist which complicates things when he's bidding on drops.

I've started to feel like a drama-***** lately for calling him out on his asshattery but SOMEONE has to do it, right?

Ignoring the problem won't make it go away though. If you call him out, hopefully you'll simply be saying out loud what the rest of the LS is thinking and is afraid to say.

Wow! I didn't know Galan was that much of an *** server wide. I had hoped that the incident with him being kicked from our shell would've made him step back and re-evaluate the way he played, but obviously not...

I'm quite proud of myself. I'm resisting the urge to post my screenshots of my /tell conversation with Galan at Bune camp last week. Let's just say that it confirms what everybody is saying about him. ~.^

I need the lulz, so please do post.

Exactly why I don't post it. Sidetracking. This thread is about lolValdan, not lolGalan. Yes, I'm sure there's *more* than enough ammo against Galan, but this is the wrong thread for it. I don't want to redirect attention away from the Fail That Is Valdan.
