after reading this I started turning down his pt invites, i'm a rdm in his level so I've made it a hobby of mine to turn his ivites down always reminding him of why. I'm up to 3 so far, last time I put my flag up because I saw his shout looking for a healer just so I could turn him down again :-D

Many moons ago (roughly 2 years ago), while I was still leveling my WHM, I got a party invite. We needed a refresher. The leader invited Valdan as RDM. He took one look at our PLD and left saying he doesn't refresh paladins. I guess he still wants to take the easy road in life.

Hey, ya'll, I've had some issues with Valdan as well.
On two occasions he's been invited into a party with me but quits instantly saying he refuses to party with a Dancer at all.
He did the same thing to one of my guild members, they waited for him to arrive and when he saw there was a Dancer in the party, he just quit and left.
Seems to have something against Dancers and he was quite rude to me, telling me I play a useless job.

Val is one of the most retarded people in the server I give him the "Noob4Life" Award, which comes with a free Brady Walk though and Tissues to cry when he doesnt get what he wants CONGRATS!

Heh, I was having a bit of issues with him as well. He was very rude to me when I had told him that I won't party with anyone without my friend who was a dancer. What is up with that? He was also complaining how he won't party if he doesn't get +5% more haste (dancers can give with haste samba?) Is he some sort of troll?
The linkshell I was him was talking about him as well. Hopefully word gets far enough that people won't PT with him.

Haste Samba only increases attack speed. It doesn't effect ja/casting timers like full haste does.
But he's still a tool. I spent an evening getting sub-par xp through campaign on Rdm the other night because he was the only tank seeking b/w 60-75, and I didn't want to invite him.

Haste doesn't affect JA timers. Only merits (and Seigan) can do that ;)

I'm usually on the casting end of haste, not the receiving end. Though I did know about casting time v. recast time, just didn't bother to spell it out. Thansk for the heads up on JA.
As for inviting, I'd have to be sure everyone in the party was in on it, and likely have a replacement already lined up. That'd probably be more trouble than I'm usually willing to go through. But it would be funny.

Valdan started spam checking me yesterday in whitegate which led to some great conversations.
Whitegate was tearing this jackass apart via shouts. In /tells Valdan was telling me what a great player he is. He actually amitted stealing the PCC, saying 'yeah I might be a jackass but I'm one of the best players on the server. I can solo most mobs in the game including ones most people think are not possible to solo'
After reading the latest posts on this thread, I wish I had asked him if 'lesser colibri' would fall under that list.

Aye, I've been seeing Whitegate voice out against him quite a bit, and I've been adding in my own shout here or there.

It'll work for a time maybe. But once he puts his head in the sand for a bit, people will forget what he did. Then they'll say, "Hey, he never did that to me, so big deal." He'll start up his own shell or get involved with people who just could care less how other people on the server are treated.
But a feather in the cap of anyone who tries to exert some social pressure on the assh*t to change his ways. Or at least, give back the PCC. If he's so good, he doesn't need it because we all know that Player > gear.

My party was going to invite him as a replacement, 3 of the 6 members said {No Thanks} and were going to disband if he joined.

Every now and again I come here to see if there's anything interesting, and every time for the past month or so that I've been here, it's been this one thread that has been the only one moving.
I don't really want to participate, but I'll give you a little conversation. I have screenshots at home, but just a rough transcription will be enough:
So I start seeking on SAM for some merits...

By that stage I was coding something, so I just ignored the tell and ended up not even partying that night. No lose for me really, I ended up doing a fair bit of work (which is actually a rare thing for me, whilst I'm infront of a PC with FFXI installed and I have free time).
