I completely agree with this. Many might not know this, but Sphinxwolf is a friend backstabber and an account stealer. Some time ago Sphinxwolf was being mentored on his PLD by Lsbknives, as was I at the time.

Lsb had to go away for awhile due to personal reasons and trusted his long time friend sphinxwolf to take care of his account while he was away. Lsb comes back, no account. Credit Card info changed everything so now SE won't even give him his account back since the info is different.

Me and Leondimas confront Sphinx who skates around the issue but eventually admits he's guilty. If you don't believe me ask Lsbknives yourself he finally came back on after 2 years of this BS and just decided to start fresh. Don't trust Sphinxwolf as far as you can throw him.

Also here's a link to the original thread I made in May, 2007 when his account got stolen by him. I especially like the last post on the bottom by Myria.

you know, i never knew these threads existed until vawn pointed this out to me in sky just last week. after your post dynas and what i read from your link, i decided i'd better create an account and post something myself.

yeah you're right dynas. the whole thing about lsbknives is true. he gave me access to his account and went away. and at the time, gil is hard to come by so yeah, greed got the better of me and i made what i could of the account. it happened a long time ago and i'm very sorry for what i've done. just so you know, i've changed as a player. guilt got the better of me. i don't know what lsb thinks of me now, but if he has the heart to forgive me, i will not make the same mistake twice.

yes i'm still goal orientated, but i have been completely legitimate as of then. i invest a lot of time into the sky shell whom the members i have known for over a year now and are great friends with. and not everyone has had bad experiences with me. and of course, don't trust your accounts with me :). (jk ^^)

Yeah don't worry guys, he's a changed man. I'm glad you cleared that up with us Sphinx, we were beginning to worry if you were still the same person as before. I guess you've earned all our trust back now since you changed and all.

So if you're sorry then, how bout give lsb his original account info back then? Seems fair after 2 years I would think.

I'm one to believe in second chances, but simply apologizing isn't enough in this case.

In my opinion, if you truly wish to redeem yourself, you would give Lsbknives his account back and attempt to restore it to the way the account was when you looted it.
#308 Aug 01 2009 at 6:42 PM Rating: Decent
i would have done that if i could. but i wasn't the one who actually rewrote the info on the account. another person was in on it with me. he deleted the account.

Well, if I were in your shoes, I would try to do my best to reimburse Lsbknives with the gil equivalent of what was looted.

I was afk a few weeks back and when I got back I had a missed /tell from Sphinxwolf. Remembered the name and didn't bother to reply back (no clue when it came in, I play on ps2) since I had been afk for quite awhile.

Then last week after sky with VexForever (farming and 4 Byakko pops) all the regulars warped out and a few remained to help a sister sky ls GodSquad take down another Byakko pop.

From what I could tell in lschat, the pop started off bad and apparently Byakko went yellow a few times and a smaller bystander party of about 4-5 people tryed to Ninja their Byakko pop and ended up wiping before GodSquad reclaimed it and killed the NM. I could have sworn though, that amidst all the curse words, banter, and "OMFG! I can't believe they tried that!"'s that Sphinxwolf's name was brought up as one of the culprits who tried to Ninja (or at least help out the Ninja'ing party) the pop among others. If I'm wrong I'm sorry, but I seem to recall I'm right.

Looks like we may have a new competitor for the biggest *** on Lakshmi.

Currently a /shout match going on in Whitegate about Rycho apparently stealing Askar legs from a Nyzul run. It appears he said he wanted to lot Denaili, but then ninja lotted Askar.

Anyone able to confirm details or elaborate?

Did I ever mention Galan is a complete dumbass?

So I joined a sky shell and his name came up. I was worried that he might be in the shell, so I said something along the lines of "please tell me Galan isn't in the shell".

No immidieate response, so I sent Galan a tell "are you in this linkshell?". Right after I said that, the leader of the LS says "Galan was in the shell, but we had to kick him." I didn't get the specifics.

Galan responds "hell no, that shell is a bunch of newbs" at which I responded "oh nvm, you were kicked". He then goes off like he loves to, talking in words that he honestly believes makes him sound hardcore. "Listen ******, don't hate. I could drive up there and slit your throat." Paraphrasing, don't have a SS, but along those lines. He then asks me if I'm Mexican and goes on a some racist tangent about how he hates ******* Mexicans and how they need to all die. Calling me a Mexican the entire time. (I'm not Mexican by the way, nor do I have any idea why he thought I was).

Once started, Galan won't stop, so as ammusing as it was, I had to /blist him and get back to concentrating on what I was doing in-game.

Was tele-whoring in WG and one of the parties had Rycho in. While we were waiting for final member I asked about what happened.

Never bothered to do Nyzul before so I'm not sure how lotting works... Is it that difficult to cancel an incorrect lot?

If everyone had passed except for him and the person who lotted, and he lotted higher than the other person, then the pants would have immediately fallen to him. It's a plausible story because people mis-lot things in my dynamis group while trying to pass all the time. Maybe it really was an accident, or maybe he's a dirty thief. Who knows. All I know is it's sad when you can trust people enough to take their word for it, which is an unfortunate condition of this game brought about by players like those who've been mentioned in this thread.

Wow Deathbeakons = Pimparu?? Now, it makes sense!

Deathbeakons was throwing random shouts out in WG the other day trying to act elite. Someone shouted for a Nyzul group and did a <job> which read SAM 75/WAR 37 at which Deathbeakons starts shouting "Fail, noob - get a real sub" or something along those lines.

I thought that was both rude and stupid so I sent him a tell, "um... what's wrong with SAM/WAR". He said "/NIN only in Nyzul". First, this guy had /NIN and was willing to go as that. Second, /WAR is just fine for Samurai in Nyzul Isle in most party setups, assuming you bring oils and powders. I told him not to harass players about things he doesn't know about.

Skip a couple days ahead when I hear Pimparu shouting for Nyzul. I offer to go. Slow response, followed by "As long as you listen to DB". I responded "hmm?", and he said "you will come /NIN". I decided I didn't want to deal with that, so I responded "No thanks". He later sent me a tell saying I should listen to Deathbeakons because he is one of the best players that he (Pimparu) knows in game. Then he said he wouldn't have let me join because he saw me unlocking Great Axe WS the other day. WTF? First, I'm a SAM, and second, huh?

At least now it makes sense why Pimparu thinks so highly of Deathbeakons...

Even if it was an honest mistake, his complete lack of empathy is worth noting. He doesn't seem at all sorry that someone else's day was ruined because of his own mistake. He seems to think it's funny.

I don't see that, he seemed to be apologizing pretty hard. He probablly did it on purpose, but we'll never know for sure, but he was apologizing. If it was an accident and he was getting called horrible names, I can't blame him for dropping flies. Still, chances are it was calculated, unfortunantly, you can never know for sure.

Does he have any other history of ninja lotting? A ninja lotter isn't likely to just do it on something like Askar pants.

Accidentally lotting in Dynamis is one thing, where the lag is so horrid that the menu moves the speed of a turtle, but casting lots in a 6-person party in Nyzul is completely different.

While I'm sure it's possible to accidentally lot in a low-lag situation like that, it's pretty rare. Especially when time isn't an issue, which it apparently wasn't since they went to next floor instead of exiting.

However, I'm not going to condemn a person for a single case of claimed ninja-lotting.

And as for DD/NIN in Nyzul? {Too Weak}

I'm main healer for almost every Nyzul run I make. As long as I have a support job with, even I encourage DD/ChuckNorris. Just be sure to bring sneak/invis meds and get a Fanatic's Drink for boss.
