Gave me a mild heart attack. Kais came on while I was in a Promy and said "Crim did you read Sleeks goodbye post?" Me and Ore stopped frikkin dead in our tracks. We thought you quit the game. Well, I know you will still lurk here, especially if you get wind that "I" posted something. So thanks for the mild stroke, and if you quit before I do? Expect to have me hunting your little hide down >=P

No offense to anyone here who likes the rating thing they got going on but... who gives a **** if the stupid *** numbers on the left side of the screen next to your name is a 1 or a 5? (assuming thats what they range from) I still dont get the whole rate up/down idea. Whats the point alla? Does this serve any real purpose. I submit that it does not.

I noticed that too! I thought it was just the computers at school or something, because I tried to leave the above post of mine earlier in the day... yet It wouldn't work. I probably tried 5 times.
I figured I'd come home and I'd see 5 postings of my /rant. (which had been considerably longer) Anyway... to reiterate >.> the rating system is dumb! *waits for rate downs*

Dude, you should just leave the forum if you don't feel like it. The only reason you posted this up is just to get attention.

If it's a farewell thread coz you quit FFXI, I can understand. But a farewell thread coz you are going to stop posting on this forum is just a LOL.

I've always thought you in a positive way and admire your ideas such as weekend accomplishments and crafter directory and other stuffs and think you are a mature dude. However, with this thread, I think I have to reconsider again. You make such a big fuss over something like this. Oh... I also think you started to get cocky in some ways as you rose in fame. So... well.. I think you need to think again why did people give you a rate down (even it's not a biggie anyway). You could probably have hurt some people without realising it... as you know... people tend to get less sensitive to others' feeling when they get cocky.

I am not trying to make this into a flame war thread. This is just my opinion of this thread and the way of how you handle your being rated down post.

Sleek isn't the only one to feel this way. Many of the people wo provide the most thoughtful and informational posts are gone. I wonder if they feel somewhat the same way?

Sleek tried his best to be a part of the community on these boards, for good, bad or indifferent, he was Sleek. He invested something of himself in them. Whether you think it is funny that he did that is not the point. He did, and whenever you invest something of yourself and someone behaves badly, you feel less like investing yourself again next time.

I'm glad he posted so that I know his reasons for no longer being part of this board. I for one, will miss ya Sleek. I don't post much anymore either, for many of the same reasons, so I can understand where you are coming from.

And one more thing tuinkkk, I don't think any of us really minds getting rated down for our opinions (even though I don't think thats what the system is here for, so I for example did not Rate you down) but lately I've been rated down for simply acknowledging someone's reported success with "Congratulations ^^" Kinda hard for me, Sleek, or anyone "LOL" enough as you put it to actually care enough to want to make the person behind the screen name feel congratulated to see the point if people just rate it down. Honestly, rating down weekend accomplishments is just a cheap shot from someone so immature they can't find anything else to do with their time, not a reason Sleek needs to "think again". Unless it is your thought that people's posts ought to be rated down consistently regardless of content if someone simply doesn't like you.

Anyway, since I'm sure a Rate Down is all this particular response will accomplish me, let me just say /farewell Sleek, the board will miss your contributions. ^^
