Hey all, i just had a point of view/question.

I notice around lakshmi, we have a TON of rdm's with AF armor, high lvls, etc... Why is this? Is it just because the armor is that cool? (cause it is pretty pimpin) Is it because rdm is easy to level? I have nothing against rdm, don't get me wrong, they rock! I'm just curious as to WHY we have soooooo many?

What i have noticed, is that RDM's are the inbetweeners. They have the ablility to SOLO at high lvls and plus deal pretty good Magic dmg. EX: Stoneskin+Blink+Phalnax= very nice.
Add an enspell of your choice
plus Protect III and Shell III you are.....wow.
Not to mention Refresh, Regen, and Cure VI, wait, dont RDM's get Cure V? Well, deamn, plus Blizzard III at 73 i think, Rdm's do it all. They can melee, heal, refresh and be apart of SC's and MB's. I will most definately agree, dont leave home without em ^^.
Although i will note that RDM + BRD make an awesome combination. :)
Only bad part is, my PLD wont get Shell III until 60. poo. /cry

I remember reading about this game before it even came out in Japan. They mentioned that the starting jobs would be exactly the same as the six jobs in the original Final Fantasy. In that game, Red Mages were basically worthless. In an article, someone questions SE's decision in bringing this horrible job back.

Well I guess SE answered by making Red Mage a pretty powerful job. Mainly for the reasons mentioned above (and of course Refresh!). I would however like to see a few more bards running around and a few less RDMs.
